Lightning Strikes

>It's late. Rain is pouring down outside as you lay in bed.
>Your breathing is calm, your mind clear.
>A flash of lighting then the roar of thunder breaks the clamming effect.
>You sigh and sit up.
"3...2...1..."
>As guessed a knock on your apartment door.
>You mutter to yourself as you get up off you bed, pants yourself, and walk to the door.
>You should have know this would have happen.
>Undoing the locks on the door, you let her in.
>She's shaking. As usual.
>No one would ever think that the electric pony that is Vinyl Scratch would be afraid of lightning.
>Or that she depends on her body guard to "protect her" from it.
>She looks at you, her eyes weary and afraid, then walks up to you, falling on your shin.
>You can feel her shaking pretty hard.
>"S-sorry... I thought I was going to be fine..."
>You sigh.
"You know when the lightning is going to happen. You know when the rain is going to happen. Yet, you always try and sleep in your own room. Next time, try coming over here before hand, okay?"
>She nods before yawning.
>You crouch down and pick her up.
>She doesn't object, instead, she welcomes it.
>Walking to your couch, you set her down and wrap her in a blanket you had prepared before hand.
"Get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow, okay?"
>She nods just before another flash of lightning causes her to jump up and cling to your chest.
>"C-can you stay with me..? F-for a bit? Please?"
>You groan and look at your watch.
>2:14
"Fine... It's not like I need sleep anyway."
>You set her down and retreat to your room to grab another pillow and your blanket.
>When you come back, you're graced with a scared looking Vinyl looking over the couch at you.
>He eyes light up as you walk towards her and sit on the couch.
>You plop your pillow down and rest your head on it.
>Vinyl opts to wrap herself in a blanket and use your thigh as her pillow.
>The rain is your music for the night as you and your employer fall to sleep.
