This Nemesis deleted scene could set a good tone for Picard in the new series, I think.

Picard series summary. Contains Spoilerstheory/rumor

Romulans scattered across the galaxy. Home world destroyed by supernova. Many factions, some loyal to Federation, some wanting war, seeking power and technology to rebuild their society. Some loyal to same ideals as Nero. Want to use recovered Borg technology to alter the past, reclaim prominence. While the Federation eventually welcomed liberated drones back into society, the Romulans are less trusting and have created massive concentration camps to house the former drones.
Borg have been obliterated and collective has collapsed. Combination of virus introduced by Admiral Janeway from future, destruction of transwarp hub, war with species 8479, revolt by unimatrix zero etc lead to the failure of the collective. With collapse of the collective all drones became self aware but unable to function. Technological failure meant 1000s of cubes sending out distress signals asking for help. The rescue armada was the one lead by Picard to respond and help the liberated drones.
Federation is comfortable, peace has reigned for a long time. With the collapse of the collective there is a schism within the ranks of starfleet as to how to treat former drones. Picard and 7 of Nine shown as examples of successful reintergration after assimilation. Initially Starfleet takes hardline stance. Picard resigns in protests, 7 of 9 stays believing she can influence change. The entire underlying moral parabole is linked to the current migrant crisis and border problems in the USA. Starfleet eventually allows reintegration through merit process but many high ranking admirals remain hesistant. While drones allowed into Federation society, in many ways they are second class citizens. There is an important policy vote within the Federation on the status of liberated drones. Deana Troi speaks to Picard and encourages him to come out of his reclusive ways and advocate for more change. Picard agrees to do an interview for the Federation news service at Starfleet headquarters.
Female protagonist begins as former drone in Romulan penal colony. She only knew life as a drone and has very little memory from before. Very similar to 7 of 9 in that all she knew was the collective until the collective failed. Prison is inside former Borg cube. A motley crew of space rouges attack the prison in an attempt to liberate some drones, steal some technology. They are a mixed crew with different motivations. Some looking for financial gain, some are fringe of Romulan society who disagree with current policy, some are former drones themselves. In the process she escapes with them This is the crew that eventually becomes the crew of the show. One of them is Hugh. They share stories of their liberation from the collective. Hugh tells her of Picard/Locutus. Tells her the story of the episode "I am Borg". Not everyone is like the Romulans, there are places that are safe. People who understand and are honorable like Picard. He tells he that she should make her way to the Federation where they are more welcoming to former drones. While walking the streets of Earth in the rain she sees Picard on Federation news service. He is being interviewed about the treatment of former drones in the Federation. His image is familar to her, this familiarity makes her know she is safe with him. She travels to Starfleet headquarters where she hopes to find Picard. When she enters the grounds of starfleet headquarters, sensors detect her Borg signature and a group of holographic security forces are dispatched to apprehend her. She fights them off which is observed by Picard. She approaches him and introduces herself. Picard knows her too. The way he is familiar with all drones as a former member of the collective himself. She tells Picard that the Romulans are experimenting on drones. Attempting to reactivate programming. Basically they want to use the Borg as their army. She has been modified with some of the protocols of a Borg queen. She wants Picards help to liberate the drones from the Romulan prison and destroy the programming and research the Romulans have done to control and reactivate the Borg collective.
Picard goes to Starfleet and ask for help. Starfleet is hesistant to help. They are unsure of Picard. The PR fallout if his interview is not showing the higher ups in a good light. They eventyally are willing to offer some support but need some evidence. This story from one drone is not enough to risk war with Romulans. Even 20 years later Federation not ready for another war like they had with the Dominion. Starfleet feels the Romulans are not a threat at this point. Picard introduced to 2nd female lead. Leading cyberneticist, Federation expert on the Borg. Expert in positronics/robots. She is seen as the true successor to Dr Soong. They hit it off. They discuss Data. She analyzes female lead. There is Romulan tampering but unsure of what exactly they did or are trying to do.
Inside Lores positronic matrix is info needed to find solution to controlling the Borg. As seen in Decent episode, Lore was able to create is own localized collective which he could control. This is similar to what Romulans want to do. Lore is the body in the box in the trailer.
Picard unsure if he should activate Lore to find what he knows about Borg. Goes to visit B4/Data. This is a dream sequence where Data is a stand in for Picards conscience. They play cards together, Picard decides to activate Lore. With help of 2nd female lead, they extrat info from Lore and compare to former drone. Source Code is similar. The Romulans are close to reactivating the Collective. Picard goes back to Starfleet. Hardliners pushing back and have taken control. Not happy with his interview. He cannot get anyone to listen to him. Decides to take things into his own hands.
Reaches back to motley crew of space rouges who helped her to escape the first time. Ask them to take them back to the prison. They agree. And so it begins.

It doesn’t even get trailer details right. Isa Briones does not speak with Picard in the same locale as her fight which he witnesses. And we know from casting spoilers that Picard assembles the ship’s crew.

Can you explain why you use names for returning characters but then describe new characters as things such as “female lead” or “female lead 2.”
Can you elaborate on Raffi’s past with Picard, and what sort of demons she’s facing?
How many episodes are there where Elnor is present?

Raffi is former drone. Unlike Briones, she has memories of her life from before she was assimilated. She suffers from the same guilt as Picard being responsible for the deaths of millions. Like Picard she was a master strategist and her knowledge was used to destroy her species

This does not track with her casting side at all.
You’re doing some fancy footwork but you need to be a bit more clever. In trying to marry your story to casting details you have missed a few key ones on Raffi- according to her side, she is African American, a mercenary pilot, and Michelle Hurd (Raffi) is shown at the helm in the trailer, so it appears you have taken the casting side of another character who is a master strategist and mistaken it for Raffi. There is also no indicator in any side of a borg trauma.
Admittedly, details can change, but likely not that many.

As I have stated I have pieces of scripts, some of the writers bible and a lot of marketing material and screenshots which is more the parts that I am directly related too in my job. I am fully willing to admit I am reversing some roles and switching some of the characters as I am piecing together what I have. That being said, I am positive about the story beats and am very confident in the settings and plot flow as I can see the story progression in the materials I have.

To be fair I would be happy with summit like this as it’s a different take on the Borg and they were the most dominant species so if they were destroyed it would make sense for different species wanting to use them and tech

There are some shots of Romulan warbirds that look modified with Borg tech. It does not look like they are being assimilated vs what Voyager looked like in Scorpion episode. It looks more purposeful. Like Romulans have adapted the tech.

I am involved in the production. I am not a writer or crew. The production is very segmented to prevent anyone from having all the information. I have access to parts of scripts, some portions of the writers bibles and a lot of marketing and promotional material in my role. I am a harcore Trek fan which helped me see some of the interconnections of all of the pieces I have.

Enterprise E is not in any material I have seen. There are some images of the Titan. There are a lot of controls om info I do have. I am hesistant to post screen shots and actual images due to NDAs and metadata that I fear could be linked back to me.

You say Briones approaches Picard immediately after the fight. The fight is in an urban area, possibly Starfleet HQ. But Briones speaks to Picard in the trailer in another location, out in the wild, possibly back at his vineyard.
Further, the casting sides indicated Picard personally puts together the crew.
Also: this is a retitle and repost of your “Picard theory” OP from yesterday.
Nice fanfic spun out from the trailer, but that’s all it is.

Picard does not put crew together. He does not know most of them prior to meeting them in the show. I didnt say they have all of their conversation at starfleet headquarters. That is just where they meet. He takes her to his vineyard before he goes to starfleet to ask for help.
