  1. (copied from a private server that I own)
  2.
  3. For starters, there's one particular forest that has been Éphymérę's home, of which she also ended burning entirely until ashes.
  4.
  5. She, in this universe, is hated because people quickly took notice of her arms (charred, burnt but protected; she doesn't feel any fire-related pain at all nor she's physically impacted much). She, given the extreme insults her way coming to her very vulnerable mind that was still naive, took these words to heart and eventually loathed herself until the infamous forest fire happened. She truly hated herself, and the only way to make herself feel better is by putting herself out of her misery.
  6.
  7. The forest fire was contagious, going all over the place, but her house was unscathed.
  8. Years after this incident, the forest, one day, became a host to the Void. They came because she was empty, numb and has particular self-spite.
  9.
  10. The voidened forest was, now, inaccessible in both ways (people inside can't leave, people outside can't join). The pure calm in this dead forest slowly made the plantlife shift, regrow and even surpass what was before the Void's turn. This was a phenomenon that meant the forest generated void.
  11. A long while later, Éphymérę's remains fully took over the forest, and the void produced was hers from this point onwards. The produced void slowly created a child. A reflection, and a fill to her void.
  12. The child was nameless, but she knew she couldn't leave because of how she half-disintegrated when she put a finger out. It wasn't truly out, so she was fine, but she could totally see the consequences.
  13.
  14. Thus, she stood in this lonely place, just like Éphymérę. She was stuck here, but she stood in good faith with naive ideas in her mind and waited years out patiently, growing up normally (physically) though.
  15. And, that faith was eventually answered, since Éphymérę's body was reconstructed by the void. She completely forgot her past except speech and powerful spells (since they were her second nature). Though, she mechanically understood that she was meant to meet someone.
  16. Thus, she and the kid met. Their first encounter involved a scaredy cat being scared by a crybaby, so both were scared shitless.
  17. And the kid wasn't the crybaby either.
  18. After settling down, they decided to know each other, and since the kid was nameless, she was named Ąlysyáį (from Ąlystélys, 'sun'). They got along very well, and Ąlystáį loved piggy back rides a lot.
  19. While the child explained the area since she was familiar with it, she pointed out the ominous house that she never visited because it just felt special, but eerie, and she knew it was meant for someone else.
  20.
  21. Since her senses were exceptionally well, she pointed out that it was most likely tied with Éphymérę.
  22. The house wasn't special. It just felt 'haunted', or so to speak. It beared Éphymérę's aura, explainably.
  23. Inside, she didn't have any dramatic 'the memories are too strong and now I'm gonna fall down due to a crappy memory' scenes, but just sudden tears instead. It seems her soul remembers something, but Éphymérę cannot comprehend the reason.
  24. A little of comforting from Ąlystáį (and some cuddles!), the witch was back on track. Exchange of warmth calmed her down a lot.
  25. The house quickly became theirs, and they did a lot of things together. Down the long run, Ąlystáį grew up to listen to Éphymérę, and it seems the witch had a lot more bottled sorrow that she quickly became her trusted, close friend. A very close one, too.
  26. After a while, she woke up one day and looked herself in the mirror. The image she saw had her terrorized.
  27.
  28. What happened to her?
  29.
  30. She's now half and half, where her original color showed on spots that resembled an X pattern (thus there was this diagonal 'slash'). It impacted everything from her clothes to her physically looks. Hat was included.
  31. Now that she was a little more open, the impact had a noticeable difference. Since she felt ready to go out, although both were naive, they decided to explore outside of the forest. Ąlystáį clearly understood everything, mostly because she'd be gone if it was when Éphymérę was fully voided, thus the effects have somewhat worn off. The results of restored plantlife was very colorful, more complex but also prettier, although mutated.
