  1. Korsikan Hardscale: Korr was born into a tribe of blue dragonborn deep in the forests of the North. Their village resided north of the city of waterdeepm although they kept mostly to themselves. The hardscale clan is a minor clan of dragonborn, however, they have strong pride and loyalty towards their people. Every young dragonborn is taught that the safety of the tribe comes before anything else, and their warriors would rather die than allow harm to befall the village. Young Korr was raised by his parents; his father was a successful druid who grew crops and utilized animals to keep sentry around the village, his mother was a simple seamstress. Always pushed to measure up, Korr tried many times to become a great fighter and warrior like his friends, but continually failed. He was not strong enough to cleave through beasts or enemies with an ax, nor resilient enough to bear a shield in front of their few healers. Over and over he failed, which caused him to become boastful and competitive over the things that he did have talent in. Turning away from the path of the warrior, korr worshipped the ideals of the legendary true dragons who sired his race. Their overwhelming power, ferocity, wealth, and unshakable reputation were his guide, and he strives to emulate them. Once he began apprenticing under a ranger named Kalar, Korr started a collection of hunting trophies. These were meant to be a reminder of each victory and success. This fragile pride did come at a cost though, as korr became unable to refuse a wager in anything that he was skilled at, needing validation. Under Kalar, Korr also learned the worship of Malar. While most of the village worshipped the god of dragons and other gods of hunting or nature, a select few Dragonborn preserved the traditions of the first Hardscales. When the tribe was founded, they all worshipped in the name of the Dark god of the Hunt and offered sacrifices of their various pray in his name. In return, the tribe prospered and grew into what it is today, and although many have forgotten, Korr seeks to keep true to his heritage and bring glory to Malar. The leader of Malar's devout within the tribe, Rashazar, gave Korr his mission. That in order to prove himself a true follower of the Claw, he must go on a journey and hunt many great prey of all kinds. He must become a hunter of renown and skill, able to bring down anything. His predication towards keeping trophies was a sign of one marked by the Claw as a hunter of great importance, and to this end, he would travel and collect trophies from his various kills or places he had plundered. Upon his return one day, these trophies would become his offering to his god and, depending on the quality and rarity of his prey, would allow him to become the new leader of their sect. Korr aims to become as powerful as he can and take trophies from as many great beasts and creatures as possible, so that he can gain favor with malar and one day spread their faith across the north. His sect worships the various aspects of Malar in a more neutral fashion, although they fully accept his evil nature. Their hunts promote the growth of the strongest creatures who can survive to defy them and prosper while the weakest will feed the people. Korr truly believes that this is best for the world, and will lead to stronger societies that fear nothing. Those with wealth must also have power, as hiding behind money will only lead to a dagger in the back. He also likes to tease those who turn down their noses at others or seem stuck up, as life is meant to be enjoyed and the world explored.
