in 2016 i ran a fashion server that was home to a few hundred members
my name back then was "pgoat"
i implemented a ruleset that disallowed edgy behavior but not slurs explicitly
i banned a member named "andrew" after he went on for about 30 minutes defending his right to call people faggots
i told him "dude just stop it, its fine to do it sometimes but its almost every sentence"
he wouldnt stop
so i banned him
and guess what
he turned the entire server against me
he got everyone together and they all said if i didnt give someone else the server and fuck off, they would all make their own
so i handed the ownership away and left

the important point here
i was wrong for banning andrew . he didnt break any rules and i had a personal grudge because i learned he was frequently mocking me behind my back, and i just looked for an excuse to ban him
i just kept staying on that hill and refused to let it go and thats what i died on
and in the end it was fucking pointless
i havent spoken to any of them since, i didnt gain any friends from it, and the people who i thought liked me enough that they would check up on me or something
