<LawfulNice>	Mal, you went to the bathroom for a minute. You come back... and everyone is gone.
	* Malachi	looks around. Presumably the place is somewhat full, but lacking in people he knows.
	<LawfulNice>	There are people around, just not at your table in the restaurant.
	* Malachi	has forgotten his phone. He walks outside looks around.
	<Geremy-Tibbles>	(( We better see what Mal's deep inner monologue is.))
	<Malachi>	((>Implying there is one))
	<LawfulNice>	It's a calm night. You still kind of feel sick, and there's this odd sensation like you've forgotten something.
	<LawfulNice>	It's like you left something on that boat, when you started to really feel sick.
	* Malachi	looks despondent. He walks to the beach, to get a look at the presumably somewhat illuminated port, disregarding the small and quiet nightlife on the island.
	<LawfulNice>	You can't really see into the port, given that it's completely enclosed, but there are more than enough lights to make it easy to see where it is.
	* Malachi	heads there, dragging his feet in the sand. After a few feet he takes his shoes and socks off, the cool and wet sand feeling nice between his toes.
	<LawfulNice>	Atlantis base is like a city floating on the water, a mile or more out on the water.
	* Malachi	stops and stares at the illuminated monolith for a few minutes. He's not one to appreciate natural beauty, but the base
	<Malachi>	's contraast to the rest of the ocean is amazing to him.
	* Malachi	continues along the beach to the port. He has his Nerv ID card so he should be able to get in presumably.
	<LawfulNice>	The lights are bright enough that you can actually see down into the water, the ruins throwing shadowy forms across the shallow seabed. The ferry port is less used than the bridge, but always open.
	* Malachi	arrives at the port, swiping or showing his card to whoever or whatever is appropriate. He of course makes a detour by Unit 02, again paying attention to the head's multi-eyed design. It's alien, but awesome.
	<LawfulNice>	The Unit really does look more complete than the Betas. Much sleeker and finished.
	<LawfulNice>	When you get on the boat, though, you start to feel sick again. It's almost like the drugs aren't working anymore.
	* Malachi	doesn't really feel jealous. He would like to be in the Eva's entry plug, piloting it, but the design overall of it isn't of much consequence. He looks around, and heads into the fairly empty decks of the ship. It's fairly stationary, and it's not the Eva doing anything. Maybe there's a smell?
	<LawfulNice>	The feeling gets stronger belowdecks.
	* Malachi	tries to home in on the source. It's unpleasant, but the thought of having missed out is potentially rather unpleasant too.
	<LawfulNice>	It basically comes down to following your gut instinct. And by that, I mean it feels like your guts are trying very hard not to be torn out in one particular direction.
	<LawfulNice>	The feeling leads you to the officer's quarters. All of the doors are locked on this level.
	<LawfulNice>	Mal, you feverishly work on one door, eventually popping the lock.
	* Malachi	feels a bit conspicuous now, and this is Mal we're dealing with here, so this is pretty fucking conspicuous.

	<LawfulNice>	The room must be Kaji's. It has that same unkempt look the man has.
	* Malachi	pokes about in the room. Are there any obviously attractive or conspicuous things in here?

	<LawfulNice>	There is a very large and heavy briefcase you find while poking through the room. While it doesn't look particularly conspicuous, there's something about it that makes the bottom of your stomach drop out. You can't put a finger on the feeling.
	* Malachi	feels uncomfortable, in a rare moment of empathy. If he had much to rummage through, he would really object to other people rummaging through it. He goes for the briefcase and places it on the most obvious waist-height thing in the room that isn't made of paper.
	<LawfulNice>	That'd be the bed.
	* Malachi	places it on the bed. Locks?
	<LawfulNice>	Naturally, it's locked.
	* Malachi	hits the lock.
	<LawfulNice>	The lock breaks open.
	<LawfulNice>	Suddenly, sirens start going off.
	* Malachi	disregards them and opens the case.
	<LawfulNice>	Inside is a carefully cushioned block of bakelite. Even your destructive attempts to open the case didn't harm it. And inside that block of plastic is a small, shriveled shape.
	* Malachi	grasps the amber and pulls it from the case, turning to hold it to the light.
	<LawfulNice>	It looks almost like the pictures you've seen in class of a fetus in the very early stages of development.
	<LawfulNice>	Mal feels more and more torn up as he looks at it, like he's standing at the edge of a cliff.
	* Malachi	holds it right to his eyes, to better see the thing inside.

	<LawfulNice>	Despite being just a fetus, it has a very well developed eye. And you stare into it, and you can tell it is staring *back*. Despite its tiny size, it exudes an aura of power that almost seems to make it loom, like the room can't contain it.

	* Malachi	looks about desperately for something to break it with. He also closes the door and locks it.
	<LawfulNice>	You grab a fire axe from the hallway before locking the door, and finally smash the bakelite.
	<LawfulNice>	It falls into shards, the fetus flopping out wetly.
	* Malachi	grabs it in his hands, staring at it intently. He feels like hell, but this is so important. There has never been anything more important in his life.
	<LawfulNice>	It has a spongy, slightly warm feeling to it. Did it just twitch? It's hard to tell. The pain and tearing feelings are too great.

	<LawfulNice>	Before you can decide what to do, Mal, the fetus starts to glow, like it's turning into a star.
	* Malachi	stares at it. Their eyes lock. It only lasts a few seconds, but to Mal it takes a lifetime; the silent exchange between the two giving way to Mal's instinct.

	<LawfulNice>	The light grows brighter, almost blinding. There's a shocking feeling of impact and violation as it leaps from your hand and burrows into your guts.
	* Malachi	experiences convulsions both physical and mental.
	<LawfulNice>	Everyone outside the ship, and heading towards the Atlantis base, suddenly sees an Angel Cross explode out of the Over The Rainbow.
	<LawfulNice>	Mal, you wake up after a few moments of blackness. You can vaguely remember seeing something. A face. Someone important. You can't hold onto it, like a dream slipping away. The pain is gone. You seem to be fine. The ship, though, now has a damn big hole in it.
	<LawfulNice>	You suddenly hear the sirens again, the sound having just not even mattered to you before.
	* Malachi	looks up at the night sky. The room is gone, and there's a hole in the deck he was on; he's now a floor lower. he doesn't feel sick any more. Problem solved, I guess.
