  1. Michael, “King of The Heavens”
  2. “To err is Mortal; to forgive, Divine.” - Michael, The First Archangel.
  3.
  4. Within a seemingly endless chain of hellish mountain ranges, there were two gargantuan mountain peaks well over a hundred thousand meters tall and a hundred feet apart from each other as it towered under the vast ocean of clouds. In the center of the two mountains, a being of heavenly emanation floats atop everything and looks below, not with disdain but indifference and pity. Climbing with ferocious effort and unflinching rage, millions and millions of demons rush up to climb to the top just to reach the being above the mountains. When the first demon arrives, the being waves his hand and obliterates the fiend leaving nothing behind, not even its corrupt soul Then he looks down once more, acknowledging the legions of demons bearing upon him. He closes his eyes and conjures a white blade with black streaks within it, created out of condensed stars and black holes. Once his hand touches the blade's handle, he sighs and sweeps it, cutting the two mountains in half along with every demon that rushed towards him.
  5.
  6. Powerful, infinite, and ancient, these three words have been used by many old beings to describe Michael, The First Archangel. The first archangel is the pinnacle of divinity and both the eldest sibling and possibly the creator of the other archangels. Others ask if this is true or not but there is no sureness, as the divine archangel does not deign to answer the question of anyone brave enough to ask him, and it is unknown whether Myst created all of the archangels or just Michael. There is also no sureness as to why Michael assumes to be the eldest sibling of the archangels, despite his possible role in their creation.
  7.
  8. Called to be the pinnacle of divinity by his creator, Myst, Michaels’s appearance is not congruent with his title or the rumors surrounding him. Unlike his other siblings, Michael has 12 wings behind his back, 6 wings on his head, and 3 wings on each foot. Each one is made out of pulsating darkness with small golden stars dotted all over them. Though he is called by male pronouns, Michael is neither male nor female, with a slightly feminine androgynous form.
  9.
  10. Michael’s siblings are very proactive when it comes to acting upon the many evils of the multiverse but this all pales in comparison to the amount of actions Michael has done to prevent evil from overruning the multiverse. While personally inactive in the battle against evil, Michael is the hidden master and founder of many powerful organizations that actively root out evil where it may be and his most powerful army, The Ascended, is currently battling the denizens of the abyss, slowly taking layers one by one. Michael has also created many powerful avatars, each one self thinking and sentient that further pushes his agenda. These avatars are Armaros, Angel of Undoing, Asbeel, Angel of Ruin, Hasmed, Angel of Annihilation, and Suphlatus, Angel of Dust.
  11.
  12. Despite his actions, he does not personally go in the field to battle the forces of evil even though he is the quite possibly the most powerful source of divine energy in the multiverse. Nobody knows why he does not enter the field but himself.
  13.
  14. Michael’s army of evil destroying beings are many and only a few of them achieve enough merit to be formally recognized. Within his army, there is a hierarchy formed both by strength and intelligence. Those that fight valiantly in the field and properly coordinate with their allies are rewarded with power and rank but accompanying those are heavier responsibilities. At the top of this hierarchy are 4 beings called the Ascendant Lords. The Ascendant Lords gain powerful gifts directly from Michael himself and there are times when an Ascendant Lord can almost be on par with a solar. A famous example of the ascendant lords is Phryix herself.
  15.
  16. Within his own realm, Michael is considered to be a peaceful and omniscient sage who is capable of handing out knowledge and information to those fortunate enough to enter it. Despite his non interference policy, Michael has a habit of creating powerful items and artifacts and then simply leaving them in the material world. While this may seem careless, Michael plans run long and wide. Eventually these items will fall into the right hands which will either save a small village or the whole world.
  17.
  18. Michael’s closest friends are his creator, his siblings, a few select deities and a miniscule amount of mortals. Among the archangels, Magnus is the closest to Michael along with his little sister Rundelia. These two spent the most time with him during their juvenile years. Among the many deities in the multiverse, Myst, as his creator, is undoubtedly Michael’s closest ally and the only one he gives the proper respect towards and follows orders from. The mortals Michael remember is below ten fingers but a few notable ones is Crielle Pelaios and Maldine Moonleaf.
  19.
  20. While never truly entering combat, there are times where the King of the Heavens has to heft his blade and slay his enemies. Michael’s power affords him a relatively peaceful life because there aren't many beings that can challenge him but when it does come to a fight, only supremely powerful beings can truly challenge him.
  21. While there are many gods who crave this level of power, Michael believes it to be both his curse and fate. Burdened with the responsibility as the ultimate caretaker of the multiverse, Michael toils endlessly so that he could allow the continued existence of the multiverse.
  22.
  23. When in combat, Michael tends to underestimate his opponents due to his massively unfathomable power. Unless he deems his opponent worthy of his power, Michael will not use his blade and will engage combat by simply projecting beams of energy or throwing his enemies away using psychokinetic force. His natural ability to create powerful nigh unbreakable forcefields allow him the freedom to act aloof and uninterested in combat. Michaela naturally treats all forms of combat like a waste of time.
  24.
  25. But it doesn't mean that Michael is not serious or capable of treating his opponents seriously. Despite his attitude, he properly surveys the situation and starts to make a list of priorities. If an opponent is a top priority he will destroy them but will keep his bored attitude. If an opponent is capable of breaking his shield, Michael will start to treat his opponent more seriously and will summon his blade, the Primordial Divinity. This usually means the complete death and annihilation of his opponent.

  33. Michael, The Destroyer
  34. “Why are you here? What are you looking for? A satisfying ending? A world where you get what you want?” - Michael, The Destroyer
  35.
  36. Though he is hundreds of thousands of years old, Myst was still once a mortal. He feels that he’s too person-like, too relatable. In most instances, this is a good thing. However, in cases where a godly aura and an image of supreme divine authority is needed, Myst sometimes lacked the air. So Michael fills this role for Myst.

  41.
  42. Avatars of Michael:
  43. These aspects of the Archangel Michael may have different names and seem to be completely separate and sentient entities, but in reality they are parts of a larger whole. They are Michael, though lesser parts of his power, and they each act out the different roles he needs them to.
  44.
  45. Armaros, Angel of Undoing
  46.
  47.
  48.
  49. Asbeel, Angel of Ruin
  50. Asbeel is an avatar of Michael to appear as both a herald of ruin to come and as a reminder of ruin that was. He most often appears at the sites of ancient and great destructive events; the collapse of a nation, the destruction of a city, or the decimation of a people. However, if he appears somewhere that isn’t such a site, it is a bad and inescapable omen for the future of that area.
  51.
  52.
  53.
  54. Hasmed, Angel of Annihilation
  55. For all the forces of creation in the heavens and earth there is but one undoer. To hear his voice is to know that you are deaf. To see his face is to know that you are blind. To feel his touch is to be no more.
  56.
  57. Hasmed is the Angel of Annihilation, and the aspect of Michael’s true and final form; The Destroyer. However, though The Destroyer will only appear at the end of all things to destroy the multiverse, Hasmed takes an active part in erasing what needs to be done now to keep the balance of things in check.
  58.
  59.
  60.
  61. Suphlatus, Angel of Dust
  62. Suphlatus is an angel of two personalities, and his two titles reflect this. Some know him as Suphlatus, The Patient Hand. Others as Suphlatus, Angel of Dust.
  63.
  64. Suphlatus spends his time both creating and destroying. By day, he builds grand spires and a collection of buildings, halls, libraries, mausoleums, and statues, dedications to the history of mortals, the history of the gods, and the history of Creation itself. These creations dot the desert landscape, breaking up the flat and even ground. Every day, men would witness the Angel’s latest creations and each night they would cheer as he brought them down. As this cycle became commonplace, the only fanfare came at their destruction.
  65.
  66. However, Suphlatus is also a destroyer, just as Michael is both a creator and destroyer. Suphlatus’s touch turns flesh to ash and bones to dust, pillars to sand and sins to nothingness.
  67.
  68. Suphlatus was likely created by Michael as a reminder of his roles as both a creator and ultimate destroyer. His part in creation is small, but his part in the destruction of all things will be immeasurable. As such, Suphlatus represents a cycle of creation and destruction.
