✿ PART 002; “AMEN” ✿
personality: minjae is off in his own world. he likes to be left alone. because of the torment he deals with everybody, minjae is cold towards others. he is depressed and that lead him to be suicidal. he hates to discuss these things with other people in fear of trusting them with too much. minjae is unsocial and has a hard time befriending people. minjae is prone to feeling insecure and hates discussing it with others. he has good morals that he abides by and one of them being fairness.

background:
minjae was a bright kid. he'd play with his friends, do his homework. he'd do anything to impress his parents. since he was so energetic and innocent, his friends were often clingy with him. they'd follow minjae anywhere. they'd always compliment him. minjae was always weak to clingy people. because that's when he knew that people cared for him and that small course of action caused minjae to be really happy. when minjae was in middle school, he had a crush on one of his classmates. the latter showed interest in minjae only for curiosity. minjae felt betrayed as he exposed himself in front of his classmate only to find out that he felt nothing that resembled love.

family:
kim jiho | mother | minjae's mother didn't take it too well when she found out about minjae being gay. she was so upset she hadn't properly spoken to him since the confession.
kim minseok | father | minjae's father was very angry with minjae. he hasn't talked to minjae or even looked at his face since the confession. minjae's father feels responsible for minjae being a "faggot" -is what he calls it. he is stern on pushing minjae to the right direction.
kim jisoo | brother | being the youngest, jisoo always followed minjae's path in what's right and wrong. but was confused to the confession. though he's not entirely aware of the context he still chooses to follow minjae.
kim hyeseok | brother | as the middle child of 14 years, he goes through his day understanding much of what's going on. he follows the morals and knows what's right and wrong in the family. he has strong hatred for homosexuals and his brother.
kim cheol-su | brother | being the second oldest, he's got rules and responsibilities to follow through. cheol-su has no such morals of right and wrong as their parents do. so he subtly supports minjae and helps him out whenever possible.

how do they act around the others?
minjae tries to get out of their way as much as possible. he won't take the initiative to talk to them and steer away from the gossips. though he has the urge to befriend everyone, his anxiety takes a toll on him. he'd purposely ignore them and reply in a rude tone when they ask something.

can they handle pain?
minjae is used to being in constant pain due to what his father had put him through in the past. with constant meetings in the church, blind dates with girls, having to be romantic with them, doctors and much more. minjae had given up on everything and isn't too sensitive when it comes to pain.

how do they react to the PAH?
minjae was absolutely devastated by the decision of having to go to a program where they despise homosexuals and simply "pray the gay away". he was angry about PAH for a whole week before coming to terms with his parents decision. minjae was still unable to comprehend the need for such a program and the usefulness of it to other people.

how do they react to the staff of PAH?
minjae wasn't overly enthusiastic about meeting people who were against his sexuality. to top it off, someone who was told to rid of it. minjae was aggresive with tone and behavior when speaking with PAH. he often tries to disobey them, but the thought of his siblings get him through the tough time. minjae would often scoff quietly in disbelief of the program.

any ideas for interactions between the characters?
1. minjae being arrogant and ignorant towards the others at first and distancing himself. everyone else getting angry about it.
2. the girls trying to be friendly to him because he seems interesting and minjae straight up telling them that he's gay and walking away.

how do they act around their love interest?
minjae hesitates to open up to (l/i) but even so sometimes he will tell the latter of his feelings. minjae tries to be the same as always when talking to him but his feelings tend to make him blush or stutter. he's unable to make proper eye contact with (l/i). there are times when he'd subtly help (l/i) and not let the other know. he always wants to hang out and talk to him. minjae can be needy sometimes but won't speak of it at all. minjae is somewhat comfortable bringing up sensitive topics with (l/i) only because he finds the trust and support he's looking for in him.

how would they react if their love interest get hurt by someone?
minjae is very protective of the people he loves. to see someone he loves get hurt would drive him off the edge. he tends to get angry really quickly and would defend his (l/i) however he finds fit. minjae isn't completely open to his (l/i) but whenever necessary he assures the other of his feelings in one or the other.

ideas for interactions with love interest?
1. sunflower doing something/saying something cheesy and romantic to minjae, but minjae brushes it off quickly so that (sunflower) can't pick on minjae's prominent stutters and blush.
2. minjae and (sunflower) sitting alone somewhere and minjae hesitating to bring up his depression and suicidal thoughts out in the world.

why do you want to be accepted: i love this story line. homosexuality, acceptance and such are a big thing in canada and to see it form in a story where the parents take part makes me happy and curious as to how the story leads. lol yeah i'm just blabbering.
what do you always wanted to tell me (joo)? i'm excited to read this fic nonetheless if i get accepted or not.
