  3. Nonetheless, I clenched my fingers around the necklace and let Crocea Mors get to work. Outer layers melted out of the way, revealing what was contained within and light emerged as I opened my hand, rising to form a holographic screen.

  7. Damn. I couldn’t say I was surprised and I really didn’t have any right to complain about people making things difficult for thieves, but I was kind of trying to save someone’s life here. A little cooperation would be nice.
