- *Cell phone ringing SFX*
- Hey there, sweetie, how are you?
- You're sick? Oh no, how bad?
- You haven't been able to get out of bed? Oh god, I'm coming right over.
- Nope, not having it; not having my sweet little kitten deal with their sickness alone.
- *time skip*
- *Doorbell SFX*
- *pause*
- Hmm, no answer. Poor thing must be so sick he can't even answer the door. That's okay, I know there's a key hidden around here somewhere. Under the welcome mat maybe?
- Wow, he really didn't even try to hide this well.
- *Door unlock SFX*
- Honeybun, I'm here! Where are you? [to self] I'm assuming that he's in the bedroom.
- *door open SFX*
- [sadly/taking pity, like talking to a small child who hurt themselves] Hey there buddy, how're you feeling?
- Not feeling too great, huh? Well, I got some things for you to help you feel better. Got some Gatorade cause I know you haven't been hydrating well enough.
- Honey, I love you; of course I want to take care of you. Now, what do you want first, something to drink or eat?
- Okay, here, let me unscrew the cap for you.
- Oh shush, I can baby you as much as I want to. Besides, I know you *love* the attention.
- Oh, honey, there's nothing wrong with wanting some TLC now and again. And if it means that I get to take care of you at the same time then it's a win for the both of us! Now, can you sit up for me?
- Good boy, now here, drink slowly, okay? Don't want you to get sick and throw up. You need to keep fluids down.
- There you go, good job. Now, are you hungry? I also got you some crackers cause you probably haven't eaten anything today either.
- Don't want to eat just yet? That's okay, just keep sipping your drink for now. Is there anything else I can do for you pumpkin?
- No? Are you sure? Don't need any more blankets, fewer blankets, one of your stuffed animals to cuddle with?
- Oh, yea I know about them. Your favorite is Mr. Piggles, isn't it?
- Oh, you talk in your sleep sometimes. Also, it's not like you've hidden them very well. Almost not even hidden at all. Anyway, would you like to cuddle with them, or maybe you want to cuddle with me. I can give you some ear scritchies and headpats. I know that'll make you feel better.
- Honey, you don't have to worry about being "a bother" or "inconviencing me". I drove all the way over here and bought you a whole bag of goodies because I want you to feel better. It makes me so upset seeing you in a state like this. If I can do *anything* to help you I want to.
- You want some cuddles? Okay, scoot over a little bit for me, okay darling? There you go, now just lay your head on my chest and I'll stroke your hair for a while, okay?
- Shh, shh. No more talking. Your voice is so hoarse, I don't want you straining it at all, okay?
- There we go, some nice, gentle headpats. Is this helping?
- I'll take your soft purring as a yes.
- Oh shush, it's adorable. Means that I'm doing a good job taking care of you.
- Here, let me feel your forehead. Oh dear, you're burning up, do you want me to get you a wet washcloth so you can cool down a little bit?
- Yea? Alright, scoot yourself a little to the left for me, okay sweetheart?
- There you go, I'll be back in a second!
- *pause*
- Here we are, a nice washcloth to help cool your head down. Do you think you can hold it yourself or do you need me to? Oh! Almost forgot, you need to drink some more. Here, take some more sips of this.
- Hmm, what else is there that I can do to help you... Do you have a headache?
- [worried] Why didn't you tell me earlier? I have some ibprofen that I bought. Here, take these.
- That's a good boy. You're such a good listener, you know that?
- Only when it's me? Aw, I'm glad that you trust me. Though, you don't really have a choice in the matter, it's nice that you're such a willing patient of mine. I'm not used to having someone so cooperative when I'm working with them.
- Oh yea, you'd be surprised at how difficult some people can be. Even when they *voluntarily* came for help. They think they can do *everything* themselves and don't trust my expertise. *sigh* But enough about work, the focus should be on you and how you're feeling. Are you feeling a little better than you were earlier?
- Not really? Awh, am I not doing enough? I thought that I could treat your illness and make you feel better, but I guess I'm not very good at treating colds.
- Oh? It's enough that I'm here trying? Awh, honey, you're gonna make me start crying. How about this, since you've taken some headache medication and drank some fluids, you eat some crackers to help your stomach and then we can cuddle as much as you'd like, because I know for a fact, rain, snow, sickness, or health you are a sucker for scritchies.
- *laughs* Oh I know you well, do I? Yea, I definitely do. Turns out the year or so we've been together has taught me a lot about you. For one, I have to force you to accept affection I give, but once I've gotten through the wall that is your resolve you melt into an adorable little puddle that wants nothing more than even more love and affection.
- Here, I'll lay down with you again, love.
- That's it, lay your head down on my chest and close your eyes. To cure a cold what you need most of all is rest, so, just keep still and I'll give you some loving.
- You know, I love it when you're like this. Not because you're sick, but because I get to take care of you. You should let me pamper you more often. Anyway, I'll shut up now and just give you your scritchies. Sweet dreams honeybun.
