- Requirements -

- Dell invoice.
- Email account - outlook/gmail etc. (Do not make until you have an invoice.)
- Picture of service tag with blank note which can be photoshopped.
- When you have an invoice purchased; create an email address under the name on the invoice; Such as [email protected]; if the invoice is
- under a company name, either make up an name; or you can search the address; and attempt to find the CEO or someone who works there. You can also
- make a new company email to use.
- Begin by either contacting dell via Whatapps, Calling or Email. You'll be transferred to the Tech Support team when calling; then possibly to the
- preium support or pro support team.
- You're going to want to explain you have a 2-1 error code on your XPS 15; with no screen or keyboard lights; with the charger light turning on; if
- you go for a different device, find the dell error codes or beep codes and pick motherboard failure. (On XPS its 2 amber flashes then 1 white flash;this is reapeated)
- You can explain you've tried all troublshooting and they'll look at warranty. Now they may try to send out a technician to replace the MB.
- Explain to them that you work full time; and you can only do 7pm and onwards; after they explain they cant do this; ask if a replacement is possible.
- They may go ask their supervisor or follow up via email if its possible.
- Via email or call they'll assk for a picture of the service tag; you're going to want to get this photoshopped with the note of info they request.
- If they ask for it on call; ask them if you can follow up via email as you're out currently and can't sort it or something.
- It take 48~ hours for the replacement approval.
- At some point they should ask for an address to send it to; if they do not, ask them if you should supply them with the address for the replacement to go to.
