I heard it on a breeze,

felt it in a touch,

whispered into my ear.

You mouthed it into my skin,

traced it down my spine,

i tasted it on your tongue.

Sun leaking through the window,

resting on freckles,

tangled up and half asleep.

Mornings bled to afternoons,

your hands would find mine,

i would hear it in your sleep.

Heard it on a breath,

you were somewhere far away,

off in your own head.

You thought of me there.

Are you thinking of me now?

Wherever you are,

does my name rest on your lips?
