- Description: WWII vet Billy had just finished shopping for flowers for his wife on Mother’s Day and was in the store’s parking lot, when Byrd shot him multiple times and grabbed the money he had on him. He ran back to the car driven by Ferguson that had Clark as a passenger, and they drove off to the mall, where he bought clothing for everyone, saying he had gotten money from an uncle.

Ferguson agreed to a deal for her 14 years of prison time to be dropped in exchange for her testimony against Byrd, who’s ankle-monitoring bracelet placed him at the scene of the crime.
