Three Millenia ago the heroes known as the Council of Light vanquished the darkness known as Shadowclaw Stargazer. Stargazer had seized the lands of Veilorya and had an artifact known as the Z'rdonian Engine disassembled and flung to the distant lands.

The Council of Light destroyed his generals and gatheredt he parts of the Z'rdonian Engine, and reassembled it in the Temple of Andromedus. This weakened the powers of evil exponentially, for the Engine was an artifact of great good, made to unsettle the scales of balance, tipping them in the favor of light.

Upon the reconstruction of the Engine and the destruction of Stargazer, a great prismatic light spread out through the multiverse, cleansing all of the taint within the hearts of men, beast and gods alike. The time following was known as the Age of the Prismatic Peace. The Council, upon their deaths, were bronzed and placed in the center of the Temple of Adromedus, forever emblazoned and standing watch diligently.

But all ages come to an end. The Z'rdonian Engine begain to fall into disrepair, the magical energies tipping the scales slowly dying out, allowing the hearts of the righteous to fall tainted once more.

The Council was reestablished with new warriors of good, set out to find sacred metals and lost magical scriptures to repair the Engine, forgotten in time. With The Council out on their sacred mission, various evil establishments began to rise up, corrupting the democracies and established political parties through Veilorya.
