You are Ivarstead, a ranger living in the kingdom of Larion. You have a hunting
 bow and a quiver of arrows. You spot the deer and are ready to finish your hunt
 when suddenly you feel an arrow pierce your side.

You turn around and see that the arrow has pierced through your side and into
 your heart. You gasp for air as blood gushes out of your chest and onto the
 ground. The arrow is still lodged in your body and you can't move it without
 causing more damage
> eat magic berries

You quickly pick up some of the magical berries on the ground and begin eating
 them. They taste like sweet honey but they also give you strength and energy.
 It takes all your willpower not to just start running around shooting people
 with your bow
> pray to the hunt gods to heal my wound

You kneel down and begin praying to the hunt gods. A voice answers back from
 above you and says
> "repeat yourself, I didn't hear you"

 You continue to pray and eventually the voice stops and you feel a small smile
 form across your face. You then stand up and walk over to the nearest tree and
 begin drinking the fruit that fell off of it. Within seconds you feel better
 and your wounds heal completely
> look for the person that shot the arrow

You head back to the house where you find that it is now empty save for a few
 pieces of wood lying on the floor. You search the room until you find an old
 map laying on top of a pile of papers

You read the map carefully and realize that this is the area where you were attacked
 by the bandits. There are several towns and villages located here and you know
 that there must be someone who knows something about what happened because they
 would have left clues behind
> go to village

You decide to head to one of the nearby villages. You don't want to risk going
 back to the town itself since you might get ambushed again
> look for people

You walk down the road and notice that most of the houses are boarded up or damaged.
 Most of the people are either asleep or sitting outside playing cards or dice
> play dice

You sit down near a table full of dice and begin rolling them. You roll three
 sixes and two sevens and manage to win a few coins from other players before
 realizing that you're being watched. You look around nervously and try to make
 yourself invisible but you fail miserably
> "who attacked me?"

 You hear a man's voice say "I did, I found you wandering around the woods and
 killed you". You turn around and see a large bearded man standing next to a
 dead tree
> "i'm not dead, dumbass"

 You point your bow at him and fire but he catches you in the crossfire and shoots
 you twice in the back. You fall backwards and die
