  1. Pound Cake

  3. ~1 cup milk
  4. 4 tsp vinegar
  5. 3 cups white flour
  6. 1.5 cups sugar (brown 50% white 50%)
  7. 1 tsp 50% baking soda 50% baking powder
  8. 6 eggs
  9. 1/2 pound butter

  11. * Make buttermilk by combining milk and vinegar. Keep in room temperature for at least 15 minutes.
  12. * Heat butter until soft and partially melted. Mix with sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  13. * Mix white flour and baking soda together in a separate large mixing bowl.
  14. * Mix in 1/3 of the flour mixture, then 1/2 of the buttermilk - repeat until finished. Add ingredients as the previous one is fully mixed in.
  15. * Place on a well greased loaf pan and bake at 325F (160C) for one hour. Check with a knife until it is cooked through.
  16. * Let rest for half an hour before removing from the pan.
