[13:12] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 When last we left the wasteland Avengers, they were beginning to fortify the city of Gutterville against an incoming onslaught of raiders. The town was ill prepared for a large number of raider groups banding together to attack them, and are fearful for their safety. Cap, Bottle and Gardenia have gathered the civilians in the Inn, while the town guards, plus Twerp, take positions on the wall
[13:14] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Meanwhile, the party works to set up defenses for the town, including mines and traps, in order to help alleviate the raiders' numerical advantage. After that, they can only hope the raiders are as much of a rabble as usual, otherwise they're in serious trouble.
07[13:17] * @Wraith` was last formulating a plan with whoever is running this crazy gang of misfits, then proceeds to ask each of his group members to huddle quickly for a fast plan.
15[13:18] * +Karina pats herself down to make sure she has her poisons and everything else she could possibly need. She looks around at whatever group is still near her. "I'm going to go out and see what I can see. After that..." she takes a quick look out towards the north, then points towards a high window, "I'll go see how good of a sniping spot that can be."
07[13:19] * @Wraith` remembers that crazy invisible cloak. Cheating or not, he was glad the mare had the item. Nodding to her he says, "Alright, so you're going to provide covering fire." Turning his rotted head to the cybermare of the group, "Primer, you set up your mines?"
07[13:19] * +Fire_Lily is making preparations. She re-casts her friendship spells, and heads toward the gate to cast a shield partially blocking the entrance.
07[13:20] * +Primer makes a mental checklist as she rummages around in her saddle bags. "I'm just about ready to start Wraith."
15[13:22] * +Karina "Right. Let's hope this is a good fight." She flips her hood up, disappearing from view, and quickly but quietly makes her way out of Gutterville to the north and east, intending to try and get close to hear any raider discussions. Hopefully, if she was lucky, there'd be some in-fighting she could stir up.
07[13:22] * @Wraith` responds, "Alright. Set your ordinance up first, I'll lay down traps after that. Double the surprise on their flanks. After which, given that you're going to be lobbing explosives at them, you'll likely be the prime target. So I'll stick nearby and take out any stragglers that rush up on ya. Keen!" he shouts as he turns towards the stallion.
07[13:25] * +Keen looks for Lily. He had an idea, a bad one. An amoral one. But it would help end it quick. "Guys, be sure to check your Pipbucks. I'll try to keep you posted on what they're doing as a whole. Fire_Lily, I'm going to need you to help me out."
07[13:26] * +Fire_Lily turns to Keen. "You... do? With what?" She's eager to help. She's been struggling to figure out exactly how she can.
07[13:27] * +Primer nods and heads out the gate. The past week had done her good, her head felt clearer and she could properly focus on the task at hoof. She weers to the left and begins to mine the area around Gutterville, taking care to hide the mines by laying them upside down and underneath rubble to hide the trigger light... who designed them like that anyway?
07[13:27] * @Wraith` blinks and looks at the pegasus stallion saying, "Keen, I'd normally say you're a riflepony first and a medic second, but we're gonna need everyone to live through this. You're going to need to be 'on-the-spot' incase anyone goes down. Fire_Lily." he turns to the filly his look commanding if anything.
07[13:31] * +Keen frowns and nods at Wraith. "I'll be on the wall. Lily will hopefully provide fire and intel support. I'll make sure nobody goes down."
04[13:31] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 As Karina sneaks away from the town, she eventually finds her way to the various raider camps assembled to the north and east of the town. They're fairly spread out, as though the different groups of raiders aren't particularly fond of each other's company.
07[13:31] * +Fire_Lily looks toward Wraith as well. She feels kinda in over her head.
07[13:32] * @Wraith` returns his gaze to Keen for a moment, then looks down to the filly asking, "Fire_Lily, do you have a gun or something?"
07[13:34] * +Fire_Lily is hesitant. But... this is important... She nods, slowly.
07[13:35] * +Primer returns after a while, having placed all but her bottlecap mines around the entrances and behind any cover that may be available for the raiders. She walks up to Wraith and Fire_Lily.
15[13:35] * +Karina slowly walks between the raider camps trying to spot what sorts of weapons they were using. She carried a lot of different weapons... If each raider in a group used similar weapons, but each group used different weapons, maybe she could frame one of the groups...
07[13:37] * @Wraith` looks visibly relieved for a brief moment then returns to his commanding, impassive expression... he wasn't very good at sugar-coating situations... especially life or death ones... but he didn't mind trying to boost morale. Placing a rotted hoof on her shoulder he says in a softer gravelled tone, "We'll make it through this Lily. But you're going to need to be as brave as you possibly can. We stick together we'll take down all
[13:38] <@Wraith`> "all of them."
07[13:40] * +Fire_Lily nods again. She's going to try her best to help.
04[13:41] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Karina slinks in close to what looks like as close to a strategy meeting as Raiders can accomplish. One in particular appears to be the leader of this particular band. He has a large, heavy set frame and has a back-mounted LMG built into a Saddle. He doesn't look too bright though. "So, who's going in first? I know Dagger wanted to take that costumed mare for himself, but somepony's gotta be the bait."
07[13:43] * @Wraith` looks conflicted for a moment. Closing his eyes, the stallion takes a slightly deep breath and pulls out his dog-tags and looks at them. Afterwards he drapes them over Fire_Lily's neck and says to her, "As long as you wear those Lily. No matter what happens, I'll make sure you are safe." he goes to remove his mouth wrappings to smile, but... decides that would probably be counterproductive and doesn't.
15[13:43] * +Karina blinks and settles down as she gets close, content just to listen for now. Costumed mare? What, they were doing this all for Twerp? A massive raider assault... for Twerp?!
07[13:44] * +Primer walks slowly up to Wraith and Fire_Lily. "Well, I'm finished, I hope I got any potential cover booby trapped and the gates have their fair share of mines as well."
07[13:44] * +Keen pats her on the mane to reassure Lily. "You're being very brave, and I won't let anything bad happen to you, alright?" You're telling a filly to fry ponies and are subjecting her to war. Yeah, you
[13:44] <+Keen> 're still the good guy. Totall.
07[13:45] * +Fire_Lily nods to both Keen and Wraith. "I'll be okay... I know how to stay out of trouble."
[13:46] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The various underlings of the big raider don't seem too intent on volunteering. "Dagger organized this big to-do, so why doesn't he go in first?" The big guy shakes his head; "He and his group coming in last. Promised share of spoils to whoever survives. Town hires superhero. Must have lots of caps. We'll get our share."
07[13:46] * +Keen smiles. Funny. You know how to get into it.
[13:47] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 "What about Tripwire? His squad likes explosives. Maybe they should go first?" The big lug smiles; "Big booms blow up wall. Nice and easy to get in then. Tripwire should go first." He gives a wicked smirk.
07[13:49] * @Wraith` nods, then looks up to Primer and nods to her in acknowledgement. The ghoul sets off to the front entrance and places the five bear traps in a scattered spread apart pattern behind the mines, far enough so they are not affected by the explosion. After that, buried in any appropriate rubble, he places the three rigged guns in various locations, while placing the pressure plates right infront of the bear traps.
[13:49] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Meanwhile, back in Gutterville, Twerp approaches the PC Pow-wow. "Queen Keen and friends, where should I be?"
07[13:49] * @Wraith` positions all the guns to point towards the pressure plates (to which he does his best to conceal) and bear traps.
07[13:49] * +Fire_Lily goes back to thinking of anything else she can do before the fight begins.
15[13:51] * +Karina mouths the name silently. Tripwire. Explosives. If they broke through the wall... there probably wouldn't be any way to save Gutterville. She notes the gun used by the pony who suggested Tripwire's squad go in first, then starts to slink off to find Tripwire's squad.
07[13:53] * +Keen frowns at Twerp. He was good at a lot of intellectual pursuits, but never very good at military strategy. "Um. I don't know." He floats over to Wraith, making damn sure he doesn't land on or interrupt anything. "Where should Twerp be?"
[13:53] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Twerp looks to Wraith; "I am soldier. Fight with hooves and little bit of magic."
07[13:54] * +Primer walks up to Keen. "Hey, forgot about these." She takes otu the batteries Cap had spared her and hoofed them to Keen.
07[13:54] * @Wraith` finds it very tricky, but eventually he manages to set a tripwire with the swinging two sword hazard right at the front gate. Afterwards he looks at Twerp and asks, "You can look like anyone right?"
07[13:56] * +Keen smiles. Something he definitely could use. "Thank you, sweetheart." He said in a grim, determined tone. Hey, he could die here. She could die here. Why couldn't he say anything more than that?
04[13:58] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Karina slinks her way through the raider camps. The name Tripwire comes up, but she doesn't get any real inclination as to where he is relative to the others. She eventually finds another group of raiders huddled around a campfire. This time, the one in charge is also fairly obvious. A pony with most of his hide covered in burn scars wielding two flamers on a saddle, with a welding mask over his face
[13:59] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Twerp nods; "Yes. Twerp is very good at his changing." He shifts into a mirror image of Wraith` to demonstrate
07[13:59] * @Wraith` elaborates to the group, as he wanders back deeper into Gutterville, "The plan basically is after they make their way into the front, provided they can't come in anywhere else. Primer is going to be raining death all over the front until there's no more coming. I'll keep her safe, Keen you and anypony with a gun needs to pick them off either as they come in or over the walls."
07[13:59] * @Wraith` frowns initally at Twerp then gets an idea and gains a devious grin. "Very nice... show me your best raider look."
[14:00] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Twerp nods and shifts to match a fairly generic raider. One that doesn't really stand out, and would therefore unlikely be noticed amidst a crowd of them
07[14:00] * +Primer then walks away from Keen, giving her battle saddle a kick to arm it in the process. "Stay alive." She calls back to Keen as she walks up to Fire_Lily. "You okay Sis?" She duly noted Wraith's strategy and nodded to the ghoul.
15[14:01] * +Karina blanches at this particular raider. That was... my. Where did raiders get LMGs and flamers anyway? How did they get these weapons, how were they actually organized? Raiders had never been anything other than mindless weak killing machines... She sighs silently. She was going to be having to make sure a few of these leaders stayed alive... there were questions that needed to be answered.
[14:02] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The flamer pony cackles, seeming rather unhinged; "Can't wait to smell them cooking! So much charred flesh! So delicious." The rest of his group doesn't really seem to have anything to say. Is it any wonder why?
07[14:02] * @Wraith` grins even more then speaks to Twerp, "Alrighty then... You're going to be with Keen. You make sure he's safe and so is Fire_Lily, I want you to hide really good and look like one of them so they don't notice ya. But you gotta change into one of them when they can't see ya. Otherwise they'll know you're not one of them."
07[14:02] * +Fire_Lily looks toward Primer. "I... don't know what I can really do..." She frowns. Most of her magic is for keeping /out/ of fights, not for helping in one.
[14:03] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Twerp blinks; "Change and replace. Can do, but why? Much better fighter than hider."

07[14:03] * @Wraith` rolls his eyes and says, "You will be fighting. You're going to be what we say, 'Using the element of surprise.' You only hide long enough so they don't see ya coming and you take them out, got it?"
[14:04] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Twerp looks surprised, then pleased; "Fight from inside! Good plan!"
07[14:05] * @Wraith` furrows his brow and says to Twerp, "Remember. They can't see you before you're with them otherwise they'll know you ain't one of them. That's /very/ important."
[14:06] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Twerp nods; "I'm good at beign hidden. Not as good as fighting, but still good."
07[14:06] * +Primer smiles and nuzzles the filly. "You'll do fine, keep yourself alive, that's the important part." She gave Lily another reassuring nuzzle.
[14:06] <+Primer> (me hoofed over the WRK as well when she gave Keen the batteries)
07[14:07] * +Fire_Lily returns the nuzzles, and nods. "I'll be okay..."
07[14:09] * +Keen keeps his upper lip stiff as he duct-tapes his Laser Rifle together so that it didn't wobble as much when he was using higher loads. Right. Workbench, then the wall. Fun.
[14:09] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Twerp shifts back to his mare-do-well form and flies out over the wall to avoid the traps. He eventually finds some nice ruins to hide himself in and shifts to a Raider form, waiting for his opportunity. He had to protect his home, his hive, and his egg
07[14:10] * +Primer sits down next to Fire_Lily and just spends a few quiet moments with the filly.
07[14:11] * +Fire_Lily is happy for that. She wishes the world wasn't such a dangerous place...
15[14:12] * +Karina blankfaces at the flamer pony. So delicious? Oh... my... She backs off a bit and pulls out her wall-crawling paste and applies it to her hooves. She heads towards a nearby tall building and starts climbing up the outside of it, then pulls out her .22 once she gets in a window a few stories up. She turns around and takes careful aim and unleashes a silenced shot into each of the forelegs of one of the underling ponies in the Flamer Pony's group.
[14:17] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The shot pony screams as the silent shots tear into his forelegs. His right hoof looks pretty messed up, while his left is only grazed. The crazy flamer pony glares at him through the welding mask; "QUIET! Save your screams for when they're sweeter." The pony seems unable to stop himself from wimpering at his crippled leg, prompting the flamer pony to just open fire on him. His screams are much worse now
[14:17] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The flamer pony seems happy about this; "That's better! Much better screams of flame."
04[14:18] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The pony Karina shot is very quickly burnt to a crisp
15[14:19] * +Karina just sort of stares on in horror... She ducks back behind the wall and pulls up her pipbuck, quickly typing out a message to the rest of her group. 'True raiders. Monsters. Kill or be killed... horribly.'
[14:21] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The burnt raider sizzles. The flamer user seems to be looking at him as though eyeing a meal. The other underling seems noticably perturbed, even for a raider
07[14:21] * +Primer hears her pipbuck baap and brings it up to read the message. "Well... fuck."
07[14:22] * @Wraith` trots over to Cap... as he was the organizer of the town's defense and civilians as far as the ghoul knew. Speaking to him, "Got the civilians tucked away somewhere? Hopefully somewhere they can't be found so easily?"
15[14:25] * +Karina sticks her head back up into the window and looks back at the flamer group. That was just... disgusting... that couldn't... No. Just... no. She puts away her .22 and pulls out her new sniper rifle. She takes moment to properly set it up inside the room, looking out through the window and at the Flamer Pony. She unloads the magazine and instead puts in her incendiary round. Let's hope this works... She takes careful aim for the Flamer Pony's flamer tanks, and let's out a single, suppressed shot.
[14:29] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 FWOOM! A massive fireball erupts where the flamer pony was previously standing, engulfing a fair portion of the camp. The underling is enveloped in the blast and incinerated fairly quickly. The rest of the raiders in that camp run away screaming, although most seem to be heading towards other camps, rather than away form the fight. When the flame finally burns out, the charred remains of flamer pony crumble. His welding ma

15[14:31] * +Karina quickly puts her normal bullets back into her Sniper Rifle, puts her Sniper Rifle away, and fricken high-tails it for her earlier seen Sniper Perch with a good view of the outside of the north gate.
[14:33] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Cap nods; "Me and Bottle have them all inside the Inn. Gardenia stayed at her clinic in case anyone is injured, so bring them there if that happens. Bottle and I aren't the greatest shots, but we do have some experience travelling the wasteland and using weapons. As well, the robot is with us for extra protection

04[14:36] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 As Karina scurries back through the raider camps towards Gutterville, she catches bits of pieces of other raider 'strategy'. One thing she manages to pick up on is that not one of the other raiders seems intent on crossing Dagger.
[14:36] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Cap nods, then points to the ponyhole cover near the Inn entrance; "We can make for Hovelhoof through there."
07[14:37] * @Wraith` looks to the ponyhole saying, "Good." turning back to the merchant he looks lost in thought then asks, "You have a flare gun maybe?"
15[14:37] * +Karina comes to a halt at the mention of crossing Dagger. What is this juicy piece of information?
[14:38] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Cap blinks; "Um... I might. Why?"
[14:39] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 It's not really all that juicy, it just seems like all the other raiders are either afraid of or at least don't want to fuck with the guy called Dagger

04[14:39] * +Keen frowns. Oh colt, Karina. Well, at least the morality issue of this was out of the way. This wasn't exactly murder he was planning by shooting these raiders. This was more euthanasia than anything, really. He grimaced as he realized the world was in a state of being that he had to think that as he looked down the scope.
07[14:40] * @Wraith` responds to Cap, "Would use it as a signal. Incase things go bad and the civilians need to retreat."
07[14:40] * +Fire_Lily suddenly gets an idea. She smiles slightly, her horn glowing as she summons as big an illusionary lightning storm as she can, starting above the gate and extending outward. She might be able to deter them after all...
[14:42] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Cap nods; "Right, good call." He scrambles over to his shop and fishes around for a while, coming back with a flare gun. It looks pretty beat up, but still functional.
15[14:42] * +Karina takes that information into account, then scurries her way to her sniper perch.
07[14:43] * +Primer jumps as Lily begins makign her storm cloud and gives the filly a wondering look, but doesn't interfere until Lily was finished.
07[14:44] * @Wraith` takes it and hopes that it wouldn't be needed. Leave nothing to chance though. This... could very well be his last hurrah. At least he'd be going out doing something good for the wasteland. Stashing it, he nods to Cap saying, "Tell one of the civvies to watch for it. We need all the firepower we're going to need for this." the ghoul turns then proceeds back to Primer.
07[14:45] * +Fire_Lily smiles and stays close to Primer. "It's not real... but it looks real, sounds real, and feels real if I hit them with lightning!"
07[14:46] * +Primer grins wide at Lily. "Heh, good one. Just don't hit me with that thing."
07[14:48] * +Fire_Lily shakes her head. "I won't..."

04[14:51] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Karina makes it to her Sniper perch and finds out that, at some point in the past, somepony else had the same idea. There's a table and chair near the window, and an ammo box sitting underneath
15[14:53] * +Karina looks around, kinda stunned. Great minds think alike, eh? She scurries over to the ammo box, hoping it isn't locked, and tries to open it.
07[14:53] * @Wraith` looks at Primer and goes to say something before seeing Fire_Lily. Not knowing the filly that well, nor wanting to scare or demoralize her, he decides to not mention the flare gun openly. Returning his milky gaze back to the cybermare he says to her, "Primer. I need a word with ya." then motions her to follow him as to not let the filly hear him.
[14:54] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The ammo box is not only unlocked, but it contains 6 .308 AP rounds that somepony seems to have left behind
07[14:54] * +Primer sits for a while, looking blankly at Wraith before getting up and following him. "Be back in a sec." She says to Lily before she gives Wraith a look and asking what's up.
15[14:55] * +Karina squees softly and gathers up the rounds. She puts them away then takes her sniper rifle off her back and sets it up on the table inside the window. Oh... this view... They were going to assault Gutterville thinking they'd win... they'll have no clue what'll hit them.
07[14:55] * +Fire_Lily nods and decides it's a good idea to find a nice place to stay hidden.
07[14:57] * @Wraith` only pulls out the flare gun and whispers to Primer once he knows that Fire_Lily can't hear them, "See this Flare gun?" he allows the mare to examine it, "I... sort of wanted Fire_Lily to have it. Incase... things go bad. This is to let the civilians hiding know when to run... only if we can't stop these guys." Looking towards the filly he adds, "I... just didn't want to scare her or make her think we wouldn't live past this. So
[14:57] <@Wraith`> "thinking of letting you have it."
07[15:00] * +Primer looks at the flare gun. "I dunno... I think Lily'd do just fine..." She sits and takes the battered old flare gun in her hooves for an examination. "Wraith, the reason to why I and Lily has such a good relationship, is that i don't lie to her, and I do not give her any brahmin shit. If I judge it a good idea, I'll give it to her."
07[15:02] * @Wraith` looks back to Primer and says, "Trust me, I didn't want to shovel her any bullshit neither. But she is still just a filly and I don't really know her as well as you do. She looks at-cha like a sister. What am I to her than a crotchety old ghoul? It's why I wanted your thoughts on the matter. If ya think she can deal with it, than by all means."
15[15:04] * +Karina pulls out a can of food and a bottle of clean water and sets them next to the rifle. They might attack during the night... morning... next day... Needed to be ready for it whenever.
07[15:06] * +Primer nods. "Good... Thanks Wraith. Oh, and... I'll be looking to you when we're in the fray." Then she walks back to Lily. "Hey, you got a quick sec?"
07[15:06] * @Wraith` follows Primer and says, "Trust me, I won't be far from ya."
07[15:08] * +Fire_Lily turns toward Primer as she's looking around for a good spot to lay low. "Yeah?"
07[15:09] * +Keen feels his hooves getting itchy. Fear? Probably, who wouldn't feel scared of fighting a small army? Only somepony who's arrogant enough to believe they can take them with no casualties including yourself, or somepony who'd been so divorced from emotion that they couldn't feel fear anymore along with anything else. But there he is. On a wall. Again.

07[15:10] * @Wraith` sighs and says, "I'll be right back." then makes his way to Keen.
15[15:10] * +Karina is arrogant enough to believe they can take them with no casualties, including herself. She has to be... otherwise she'd be huddled up in a corner and crying.
15[15:10] * +Karina also can't be seen. That helps.
07[15:13] * +Keen is on the wall, scoped on the horizon where he's always been. His ear twitches as Wraith approaches. "What is it?"
07[15:14] * @Wraith` has for many points in his extended unlife sought for death. A meaningful one... meeting this group, striving to build something decent out of a sea of indecency... and finding Cure... changed his outlook on the matter. The stallion would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. Finding the stallion he goes up on the wall and surveys the horizon with the buck.
07[15:14] * +Fire_Lily looks at the flare gun, curiously. "...What is it? How do I use it?"
07[15:14] * @Wraith` asks Keen without looking to him, "How are you holding up?"
07[15:15] * +Keen would've frowned at that, but the situation beat him to it. "As well as you'd think."
07[15:15] * +Primer twists the flare gun in her cybernetic hooves. "It's a flare gun, point it at the sky and pull the trigger, same as a normal gun."
07[15:16] * @Wraith` just simply nods and says, "Feels sorta strange but familiar all the same time for me. Like... before. Fighting for something more than yourself. 'Cept... I didn't fight fer Equestria quite like this."
07[15:17] * +Fire_Lily nods. "I can do that... be careful... please." She takes the flaregun in her telekinesis before storing it away.
07[15:18] * +Primer looks at Lily for a long moment. "You -do- know how to work a pistol, right?"
07[15:19] * +Fire_Lily nods. "Yeah... Stormy showed me how."
07[15:20] * +Keen sighs. "... I'm terrified, Wraith. I always was, even when I was fighting for Equestria. But back then, they only told us that if we failed, they'd skin us, stab us, kill us, rape our stab wounds, and hope they did it in that order. Now?" He sighed, pulling out a bottle of slightly green water. "I don't know. Now they're actually going to do it."

07[15:22] * @Wraith` looks at Keen and says, "No. If they break us. You're all falling back. If they wanna take anyone as their toy, they can take me."
07[15:22] * +Fire_Lily nods again. "I'll keep out of trouble..." She gives Primer a hug before heading toward the tallest building in the town, so she has a nice place to hide out with a view.
07[15:24] * +Primer walks up on the wall with Keen and Wraith. "Well... now we wait."
07[15:24] * @Wraith` looks back to the horizon, his expression troubled as he adds, "If that does happen. If I don't make it. Find Cure and let her know that I love her. That I fell helping out those that needed it."
07[15:26] * +Keen took a sip of the water, capped it, then put it away, absentmindedly looking at the bombermare as she approached. "If you had told me that three months ago, I would've volunteered myself and thought it was karmic justice. I'm not so sure now." He went back to looking down the scope, and hoping that he wouldn't need to deliver any final words today.
07[15:27] * +Primer rolls her eyes, stallions, so damned melodramatic.
07[15:28] * @Wraith` is silent for a moment, not realizing Primer was there. Finally he says, "You're a strange buck Keen, but ya don't deserve to die. If anything the world needs more ponies to think like ya do. Though no offense... not /exactly/ like ya." the stallion begins smirking, then turns to the buck and gives a small low chuckle.
07[15:30] * +Fire_Lily sits in her perch in the inn, watching over the walls. She's prepared to do whatever she needs to to help.

07[15:32] * +Keen can't help but let loose a chuckle at that. A dark chuckle, the same kind parched lips give whenever confronted with a near-unbeatable situation and not many ways out of it. "Yeah. It's just... I didn't think I had anything left to lose when I was back at Hovelhoof. And to be honest, I didn't. But now... I finally find something, someone to fight for? /Now/ I'm scared?" He checks the battery...
07[15:32] * +Keen ...on his current load. Still full. Still glowing rather disturbingly.
15[15:32] * +Karina sips her water.
07[15:37] * @Wraith` nods and says, "I know what you mean." turning he sees Primer is there and blinks at her, obviously not realizing she'd be there. Well that was a short, non-existant trip. The old soldier asks, "You have a good spot to deliver your payload to the fuckers?"
[15:38] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The day slowly fades into night, and that is when the raiders start moving. What better time to attack when all the little ponies are safely tucked into their beds and only a few guards are on duty. Or they would be but for the heroic actions of the party. The first wave approaches
07[15:39] * +Primer nods. "I can deliver at... well, about 450feet." Then the timeskip happens and she's nestled behind the edge of the wall, on her belly to get stability.
07[15:40] * @Wraith` had followed the cybermare, with 'Butcher Pete' ready in a stealth stance. Being near Primer as to offer support incase any of the raiders managed to get the jump on her.
07[15:41] * +Keen frowns and punches something into the blue screen of the Pipbuck. "Incoming."
04[15:41] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Primer, Karina and Keen can all spot the first of the raiders moving towards them. They are led by a unicorn who appears to only be armed with a pair of wire cutters, his horn glowing. As they watch, he actually stops just shy of the first set of mines, and floats the nearest one out, attempting to disarm it.
[15:43] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The unicorn, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be quite as good as Primer, and is forced to hurl the mine away from him as it starts beeping. It explodes moments later
07[15:44] * +Primer curses. "Fucking cheaters." She hisses between clenched teeth.
[15:46] <+Fire_Lily> me is still sitting in the inn. She doesn't notice the raiders moving at first, probably a little distracted, but she hears the explosion, perking up immediately and making sure her thunderstorm is re-cast.
[15:48] <+Keen> Keen proceeds to attempt to snipe the smarmy bastard with his laser rifle.
[15:48] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Keen succeeds very... successfully. Tripwire is reduced to a pile of ash before he even knows what happened.
07[15:49] * +Keen can't help but smile at that. Show up his marefriend, will he?
[15:50] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 There's a yell from within the group of Raiders; "They got Tripwire! Rush 'em!" With that command, another ten raiders proceed to rush right into Primer's minefield, each one setting off at least one
[15:51] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The mines explode in a cacophany of explodey deadliness. Of the ten raiders in that first wave, Seven are torn to shreds. Two more make it though, though not without injuries to show for it, and one lucky bastard managed to roll through unscathed
15[15:52] * +Karina perks up as she sees them approach. She watches Tripwire get dusted through her scope, then watches in suprise as the others simply rush the minefield. She aims up three shots, one at each of their heads.
07[15:52] * +Primer grins. That's better.
07[15:54] * @Wraith` looks at Primer's expression and feels a meassure of relief from it... not to mention the series of explosions he could no doubt hear, even with his oblivity. This fight was far from over though... keep your focus you old fool.
07[15:54] * +Fire_Lily is watching as close as she can, ready to rain down lightning on any that get too close.
04[15:56] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Karina proves to be adept with Storm's old rifle, cleanly braining each of the three who made it through the minefield. Unfortuantely, the minefield didn't make it through that either, leaving Wraith`s simpler traps in their path, as well as the extra mines inside the gate.
15[15:58] * +Karina cheers to herself as she blows the heads off those three. Bit disturbing, actually, watching it happen so close through a scope... Still, it was a good performance.
07[16:02] * +Keen readjusts his towel do-rag. It was apparently lucky.
15[16:07] * +Karina reloads her weapon as she waits for more raiders to appear. She also keeps a careful ear and eye out behind her to make sure that nobody tries to sneak up on her while she snipes.
07[16:10] * +Primer thinks for a bit. "Wraith, I think the gast gun needs a reload." She takes out the mag of AP rounds. "Just in case. Can you help me out?"
07[16:10] * @Wraith` nods to Primer saying quietly, "Got you covered."
07[16:11] * @Wraith` reloads Primer's gast gun with the AP rounds.
07[16:11] * +Primer turns her side to Wraith while he reloads her Gast Gun.
[16:13] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 It's quiet for a little while, but then the next group of raiders appears. There's more of them this time. A little over twenty, and it's difficult to tell who's leading.
[16:15] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 They are armed with a variety of weapons. Some with knives and bats and pipes, others with the general sort of poorly maintained firearms you would expect of a raider.
15[16:17] * +Karina hmms softly to herself as she watches the next group of raiders approach through her scope. She starts to fire, but then stops herself and decides to wait for Primer to toss her explosives out. She was better at wiping out anyone who made it through the big explosions, not just randomly firing.
04[16:19] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Karina manages to spot through her scope a single Raider who looks like his gear was better maintained than the rest

07[17:00] * +Primer peeks up from her spot and measures the range by her eye. "Well, good enough." She didn't need to hit anyway. Bracing herself, Primer lets off two bursts at the group of raiders. Headshots was for ponies who only fragged single targets.

07[17:02] * +Primer sweeps the thumping gun as she fires, arching the grenades along the group.

[17:10] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Primer's explosive sweep does a number on the attacking swarm of raiders. More than half of them die instantly in the fire and shrapnel. 8 manage to Stagger through, bleeding and wounded, and one lucky one, who just so happens to be the groups leader, pulls through relatively unscathed
07[17:11] * @Wraith` blinks and is in awe at the sheer destructive force behind the terrible weapon.
07[17:12] * +Primer stands up, being a bit drunk on said awesomeness, and places a hoof on the balistrade. She lets out a low metallic whistle.
[17:13] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Said leader is armed with slightly better armour than the mooks, and has a nice assault rifle as his weapon.
15[17:14] * +Karina pulls her eye away from the scope as the blasts go off, then quickly looks back and re-acquires the leader. She shoots to put a shot through his hind-leg, then moves the scope to hopefully shoot off four other ponies' heads.

04[17:17] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Karina's quintet of shots easily make short work of four of the surviving mooks, while her shot at the leader blows his left hindleg clean off. He screams and begins staggering to the side, trying to find somewhere to hide
07[17:19] * +Fire_Lily is a little (a lot) too far from the action to be able to do anything yet, so she waits for the right opportunity.
[17:20] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Twerp does something out of the group's line of sight.
07[17:23] * +Keen lets loose four shots from the wall, raining pretty, pink death from above.
[17:30] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 One of Keen's shots completely disintegrates one of the wounded raiders. The other, though not quite as flashy, is still enough to kill the already wounded raider. The other two shots miss
[17:31] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The two raiders left standing after the party's assault look absolutely blanched. They look back, to where their 'companions' would likely kill them for retreating, and forward, to where the gate of death lay just out of reach. They both stagger to the side, trying to join their leader in hiding away from the explosions and lasers and mysterios magic decapitator bullets
15[17:34] * +Karina reloads, putting five fresh beautiful rounds in her even more beautiful sniper rifle. Really... REALLY glad she got this. She waits for more raiders to show themselves. No use wasting bullets on enemies that had stopped attacking. They could be cleaned up later with cheaper ammo.
07[17:36] * @Wraith` continues to wait, just enjoying the light show of death and carnage being rained on by his comrades. This was working out smoother than he anticipated. He takes a moment to survey the area, making sure no unexpected surprises were occuring.
[17:37] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The next group to approach the gates seem either unaware of their predecessors fates or confident that all the traps must have been exhausted by now. They charge forward, only for one of them to stop, turn around and bash the heads in of two others. Then, with a flash of green in the resulting confusion, the culpirt is lost. The rabble begins to argue amongst itself until they all start fighting with each other
15[17:38] * +Karina watches the in-fighting through her scope with great amusement. Go Twerp!
07[17:38] * +Primer pumps a hoof. "Wooo!"
[17:40] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 As the group watches, the infighting quickly results in four more of the raiders getting killed by their own, and several being injured. With one last shift, Twerp dons his Mare-do-Well getup and proclaims that justice is being done upon them for their crimes. He then proceeds to kill to more before running off, leaving four raiders shooting blindly after him
04[17:42] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Karina waits; figuring Primer could handle the leftovers in one

07[17:43] * @Wraith` just imagines how his role would've been so much easier to perform back in his military days had he the ability to go invisible at will or shape change... he does survey the area to ensure no unexpected surprises sneak up on them.
07[17:44] * +Primer peers downrange. Well, time to try this thing out. Primer stomps a hoof, activating sats, and takes her sweet time, aiming a 25mm into the center of the group. She might not kill them all, but they would definetly be down and bleeding after this.
[17:47] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Primer's Grenade shot lands right in the middle of the remaining confused Raiders and explodes. Three of the are instantly killed, the forth only surviving by the sheer fortune of having one of the others between him and the blast
[17:47] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 He isn't all that lucky though, he still got clipped by the blast, and is barely standign at all
15[17:50] * +Karina sighs softly, both in relief and a bit of annoyance. Not worth a .308. She pulls out her AR and sets it out next to her sniper rifle. She fires off a quick shot at that lucky bastard then settles back down behind her sniper rifle.
[17:51] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The last raider standing falls over dead, looking confused more than anything
07[17:52] * +Fire_Lily keeps watching for any raiders that might escape her companions' wall of death.
[18:00] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Suddenly, there's a series of explosions at the back gate. Apparently some raiders decided to try and be clever. It didn;t work
07[18:00] * @Wraith` turns and looks at the south gate, explosions weren't good. He seriously hoped it was just the frag mines going off.
07[18:01] * +Fire_Lily glances back toward the other gate, in surprise. She's going to have to watch all around, now.
07[18:01] * +Primer listens. "Frags..."
[18:02] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 An incredibly loudy, squealing, grinding noise can now be heard from the back gate after the explosions settle
04[18:04] * @Wraith` activates his pipbuck to send a message to his companions speaking quietly, "Karina, Keen, Primer, maintain your positions. Fire_Lily, you and me need to watch the south. If they come that way, we'll take them out."
04[18:04] * +Primer curses. "Well, Kar got this side. Lets move." Primer starts running along the wall, heading down the east side.
15[18:06] * +Karina checks her pipbuck as it beeps. Oh boy... She goes back to looking down and listening out for anyone sneaking up on her.
[18:06] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 There are a coupel cries of anguish as two of the gaurds at the south gate are peppered with machinegun fire. One is killed instantly, the other is in painfull bad shape
07[18:07] * @Wraith` makes his way sneakily to the observe the south entrance.
07[18:08] * +Fire_Lily jumps slightly and checks the message on her PipBuck. She smiles as she reads it. She already thought of that!
[18:09] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 Wraith` gets to the south gate alongside two of the towns guards that were positioned on the western wall. They find two of their companions dead on arrival, and can spy six raiders at the south Gate. One of them is wielding a massive, spinning blade thingy and is trying to cut through the fused metal, now weakened by the explosions, while the others cover him
07[18:09] * +Primer halts and turns back to her position as she sees that Wraith has it covered.
[18:10] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 one of the ones providing cover is the big lug with the LMG
07[18:11] * @Wraith` turns to the guards and says, "You two! On the wall, surpressing fire on the crowd! I'll deal with the fucker with the tool!" he readies his throwing spears and proceeds up to the wall to get within sight of the raider trying to cut open the south gate.
07[18:15] * @Wraith` makes his way along the wall in his sneaky fashion to look over and see exactly how many there were, not to mention to see where the raider that was cutting open the gate was.
07[18:18] * @Wraith` spots his intended target and hurls two of his throwing spears at the raider cutting open the fence.
[18:20] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The gate cutting raider is skewered nicely by Wraith's spears. One in the neck, one in the chest. He falls over, gurgling for a moment in a puddle of blood before checking out, his cutting tool falling silent and droping to the ground next to him
15[18:22] * +Karina is getting a tiny bit anxious, not seeing another wave of raiders come through yet. Hopefully everything else wasn't at the south gate... she couldn't see the south gate...
[18:24] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The Raiders seem astonished that their auto-axe wielder was dropped by... a pair of spears
07[18:25] * +Primer was definetly beginning to get nervous... just a little.
04[18:25] * +Fire_Lily follows up Wraith's attack by casting her fire spell at the pony with the big gun. After a moment's hesitation, she takes out the gun Kar had let her have, and carefully aims a shot at the same pony.

[18:30] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 big Pony is hurt, but not out. Unfortunately, his little assistant got torched quite handily by Lily's spell. He glowers in the direction the fire came from.

[18:37] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 LMG Big Guy sizzles in a crater, while the three remaining mooks turn and open fire on Wraith and the two guards.

[18:41] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 The guards are wounded by the barrage of bullets, while Wraith` is largely unfazed by them

07[18:42] * @Wraith` grunts and growls from the shots. These fuckers were getting skewered first chance he got.
[18:44] <@TenMihara|GM> 3 THe guards return fire with a few shots of their own, but they aren't quite so well after getting shot
