  6. List the 10-codes that you know: 10-4 is when you have given dispatch some information they may say 10-4 to inform you that they listened to what you have said and they understood what you said, In sort terms means (Ok)
  7.
  8. 10-3 is where a higher ranking officer would like to talk and you need to stop talking, another way of putting it would be stop transmitting radio signals while a higher ranking officer would like to speak to everyone or say something important, which could effect you, for example a terrorist attack and they want to alert you of it to keep you away from the situation
  9.
  10. 10-6 is where you want to go on a short break for example run into a shop in game and get something to eat or you want to quickly sort something out either this be in game or out of game, but, you are available If needed urgently.
  11.
  12. 10-7 is after an officer has called 10-8 for example when they are done with their duties and they want to go home they would call up to dispatch and giving the code "10-7" would alert dispatch they are going off service, dispatch would also then reply saying "10-4" If they understood what was said.
  13.
  14. 10-8 is the opposite of "10-7" so "10-8" would be when your calling up-to dispatch and letting them know your now available and on duty and ready, then would then come back to you with "10-4" If they understood what you had said.
  15.
  16. 10-9 would be If someone has said something over the radio and you didn't hear them you would call them up and tell them "10-9" they would then repeat what they had said previously.
  17.
  18. 10-20 would be If someone needs to get to you, they would ask for your "10-20" and then you would give them your location
  19.
  20. 10-32 would be If you need assistance you would tell dispatch you need "10-32" then they may ask for your "10-20" If needed.
  21.
  22. 10-76 would be then If someone has requested "10-32" you are needed, you would say "10-76" to alert them that you are en route.
  23.
  24. 10-100 would be when an officer is down.
  25. What is RDM? : RDM stands for Random Death Match, this would be when a member in game shoots/kills a member in game without a valid RP reason. RDM is not allowed on this server so you would need to get evidence and report them in the #report_a_player on the Discord server.
  26.
  27. Define Roleplay : Role-play is acting a real life situation out to the extent where nothing is real and no damage can be caused. Role-play is acting out something or someone does and performing It on your own way, for example, Role-playing as a Police Officer, but your not a Police Officer in real life.
  28.
  29. Role-play is used in many different way, training for something that you want to do in the future, or to see how you can respond to something that could happen in real life or in the real world.
  30. What can you bring to the LAPD: Dedication
  31. I could bring my dedication, I'm a dedicated guy who loves to roleplay, the dedication can help with keeping other police officers online, for example, I know when I'm alone, I don't like being on my own I lose enthusiasm, but, I still stick at what I do, with others they lose enthusiasm completely and will go off duty. If there is more than one cop on, like myself, I'm dedicated so being online will give them someone to patrol with and to talk to
  32.
  33. Enthusiasm
  34. I could bring my enthusiasm, I have great enthusiasm, It's really needed in RP as you need to think outside of the box and think about what you could do, my determination comes with enthusiasm also, I'm enthusiastic and love to over do things, for example, If someone has a cut, why not give them a "Hello kitty plaster", why not give them a "Micky mouse" sticker, make it a little more enjoyable for others also, enthusiasm is what brings RP to life, and I feel like It's one of the most important things to have
  35.
  36. Determination
  37. I could bring my determination, Determination is needed, If your not determined to do something you will have no fun in it yourself, currently my determination to do things is really high, I love the community and I love playing with the members that are currently on it. Determination is key when your on your own and your in a very tough situation, do not give up keep going. I show determination because I've been rejected once on one application and I have not given up, I've continued and tried again.
  38.
  39. Role-play
  40. I could bring my Role-play skills, I've been Role-playing for a while, this would be on Arma 3, Call of duty, GTA IV & V, I feel like my skills from Role-playing are really important and I could bring them to this community with LAPD, for example, I'm also training to be a Police officer in real life and I feel like this experience will also help me with my Role-play as I have real life experience and this would contribute a lot to my skills in Role-playing.
  41.
  42. Stress Control
  43. I could bring my stress control skills, I can control stress, so when In really tough situations I can remain calm at all times and I've been taught this with putting up with young children as I work with youth in West Midlands Fire Service, UK.
  44. I work with difficult children who are disabled and can be very difficult at the most of times. I can also control anger, So I don't get angry easy, which is needed when joining a Police force, whether that be IRL or RP.
  45.
  46. Fast Reactions
  47. I could bring my fast reactions skills, I have fast reactions which could help in roleplay, If a player has been taken hostage I get units towards as fast as I can, and think outside the box, can they go the other side of the person and taser the suspect to make them drop the weapon, Is it possible to shoot to man at the worst and release the hostage.
  48. Why do you wish to become an officer for American Dream (120 Characters): I want to become an officer for AD because I feel like I can bring the skills above, I can bring my Dedication, Enthusiasm, Determination, Role-play, Stress Control and Fast Reactions, this is all needed when in a PD rank, as you are faced with different situations.
  49.
  50. I also feel like my knowledge will also help, I have knowledge within the police force and with me being in EMS I have learnt a lot more about 10 codes, I've also done ride along's with police officers and seen how they do there job, this is very useful as I can now get a better understanding of what the PD do and I am really interested in the role that I'm currently applying for.
  51. 1.)If you are in a situation where someone pulls out a gun and tells you to get out of your car and drop your gear what do you do?: As my safety is most important I would do as the person says and call up to dispatch and get as many units as possible towards, I would give my "10-20" and alert all available units of my situation, I would take a description of the male and alert any unavailable units, but, as I don't have much time, I would say It is an emergency, and I would give my "10-20" as quickly as possible as I don't have enough time to give all the information at that time all at once.
  52.
  53. I would listen to what the person says and follow as many instructions as I can to protect myself and the public
  54. 2.)You are in the middle of a traffic stop, and are about to write the guy a ticket when one of his friends comes up and holds you at gun point what would you do/say?: If I'm writing up a ticket, I would tell the person to not do this as It's not worth it, I would tell them I won't give the ticket and to drive off and let them go, I would then try and follow them and tell all units "Emergency" and alert them of my "10-20" to make towards, I would try and keep my eye on them why saying as far back as possible and then continuing to update all units of where I am currently.
  55.
  56. I would try and communicate with the person as much as I can 1st though to see If they can stop what they are doing as It's not allowed and they can be arrested for it, I would inform them that there is other-ways around this.
  57. 3.)You are at a vehicle checkpoint. A car comes through and does not want to give you their license. How would you handle this situation?: 1st of all I would try talking with the person, If the person refuses, I would inform them that they can not go past the checkpoint until they have shown their license, If they still refused I would tell them to turn around and leave the scene.
  58.
  59. I would also check If the license plate comes back as stolen, If so I would handle the situation from that If not I would let the man go by telling him to turn back.
