- Awesome.
- Some agents of socialization that helped form my "self" were definitely my family members. Mass media was something I took interest in as a kid(Music television) and became to revolt against around my mid-teens, as well as popular culture and high school. High school had a negative effect on me, I had an anti-institution attitude then and rarely went! so, my BIGGEST agent of socialization of all became... The INTERNET! Woot!
- I love the quality and accessibility of information on the internet. I idolized revolutionaries and researched them a lot when I was around 16 years old. Ex. Che Guevara, Immortal Technique, Etc.
- I spent some time in isolation in some key developmental stages and having the internet developed my sense for social structures in other parts of the world, and human nature outside my norm. I'm loving this course right now, because I'm learning terms to describe my way of thinking. I can justify my inner rebelliousness by gaining as much knowledge surrounding my social structure as possible, maybe, I will learn things that change my conflicting sociological perspective to a functional one!
