- One day, 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi suddenly finds himself dead, having died pushing a child out of the way of oncoming traffic. Since he has such a bad personality, even the Spirit World was caught by surprise that he would sacrifice himself. Yusuke soon finds out he wasn't supposed to die and has a chance for resurrection and bringing his body back to life. After being resurrected, Yusuke becomes a Spirit Detective, along with his comrades, and one adventure after another happens, whether it be an investigation or a fighting tournament.
- NOTE: This is my comments on the English version of Yu Yu Hakusho. My regular comments on the series will be separate from this.<br/><br/>It's hard to believe that FUNimation, the company who ruined Dragonball Z with their HORRIBLE English version, dubbed this series. The surprise is, the dub is actually DECENT! Well, the uncut dub anyway. The edited dub, which is airing on Cartoon Network is really bad, since in order to edit a bunch of the stuff in the uncut anime they had to make a bunch of stupid stuff up. But, back to the uncut dub, like I said, it's decent, and much better than the dub for the YYH movie(by U.S. Manga Corps.). The voices actually fit somewhat with the characters, and unlike DBZ, they swear and you get to hear the original music! However, it's not perfect. You'll occasionally hear what I've dubbed one of their "Funi jokes."(Horrible, kiddy lines, which were almost always in the U.S. DBZ). Also, for some reason, the U.S. version used really bad English lyrics for the opening and closing songs. But other than that, it's bearable, and most of the time actually serious(possibly because the series first aired on Adult Swim). They also made a quality Lupin dub(unlike Pioneer's bad version) which features most of the English cast of YYH. Hopefully with the dub of Yu Yu Hakusho it means that FUNimation's finally started to fix their mistakes. Overall it's about 7.5-8 out of 10.<br/><br/>BOTTOM LINE: A decent Yu Yu Hakusho dub may be fine, but maybe they should fix the mess they made out of DBZ.
- Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the best action shounen anime out there. Its got action,comedy,romance,strategy etc. The English dub is just awesome.The voice actors have done a great job.It's got a wonderful soundtrack.It makes you feel the situation.Coupled with the good story and even better written dialogues it is one complete anime.It just makes you want more.It rivaled Dragon ball series during its run. I have seen many people write petition to Yoshihiro Togashi to revive the series after he completes HunterxHunter.<br/><br/>Even after watching the show 4 times I just couldn't come to terms with the fact that the show had ended.One of the best animes from the 90's

Entertainment and is called "Yu Yu Hakusho: The Golden Seal"<br/><br/>The second movie was dubbed by Central Park Media and is called "Yu Yu Hakusho: Poltergeist Report: Bonds of Fire" or "Fight for the Netherworld"<br/><br/>The Manga series is released by Viz Media.<br/><br/>The CD soundtracks are released by Pony Cannon Japan. a5c7b9f00b
