➵ PERSONALITY:
The usual first impression Yeona leaves isn't all too great. She usually comes off as an aggressive, rude and basically unapproachable person. What nobody knows is that she only behaves that way towards strangers, whether of high or low rank, to protect herself.

Even though she is rude and gives off the impression that she hates everyone around her, it's just her way of showing that she envies them. Yeona is frustrated and partly hates her own existence because of her low number, which isn't even in the double digits. Additionally, she's aware of her short height and is rude to others to make them be wary of her. All these negative traits she has is merely meant for defending herself. She doesn't allow herself to show her weaknesses so when asked about how she feels about her low rank, she usually shrugs it off and says that she has to cope with it anyway. In reality, she's ashamed of having a single digit tattooed on her.

It will take a very long time to earn her trust, but once she opens up to someone, she will be more open to them. Nobody will see her cry or complain about her low rank though. She doesn't want to be a burden to the ones she trusts and cares a lot for.

When a friend is in trouble, she won't think twice about what to do and rushes in without a plan. When it comes down to that, she neglects her own safety as her first priority is saving her friend. It shows that she is actually very reliable. Once she develops a new friendship, she won't let go of them so easily.

Yeona is very blunt about all of her negative thoughts and will not hesitate to hurt someone if they piss her off - even the people she genuinely likes. If someone crosses a line, like invades her personal space or confronts her with her own troubles, it won't even take a second to receive a punch in the face or shins. Yeona will regret having acted like that if she hurt someone she is close to yet won't show how sorry she is.

At work, she doesn't show her face to the customers and not even all of her coworkers know about her. Since her life is dependent on the one job she has, she tries her best not to provoke or be provoked. 95% of the time she manages but deep down inside, every time a customer with a high rank passes her by, she has the urge to push them to the ground.

         Chiaki is Sayaka's younger stepsister and of Japanese heritage, not Korean. They get along alright but avoid each other when
         possible. The only reason Chiaki took in Yeona was because of the money Minseok sent her for raising his child. Chiaki and
         Yeona are rather distant. Chiaki wished Yeona didn't disappear all of sudden and realized she cared for the girl more than
         she thought.

➵ BACKGROUND:
As already stated before, Yeona was disowned by her parents right after her rank was revealed. She was raised in Osaka by her aunt who only took her in due to the money Minseok offered her. Up to this day, she's never talked to her parents before but is aware of her parents' ranks. Throughout her childhood, she was mocked and judged for her low number. Whenever she made friends, their parents instantly sent her home the second they found out what her rank was. In elementary school, the people she considered her friends no longer talked to her because their parents didn't allow that to happen. Even her teachers didn't do anything about it and only pitied her.

Soon enough Yeona was done with being lonely and left out so she started being to everyone around her. She didn't see why she should respect others when they didn't respect her. Her actions caused her trouble with classmates, her teachers, and angry parents. When the issue still wasn't settled, the teachers gave her more homework, assigned her to detention even though she did nothing wrong and treated her unfairly. In her high school years, the situation didn't change. That's when Yeona was so fed up with school that she started skipping classes and lastly dropped out of school.

Her decisions caused many problems with her aunt too. Chiaki was already busy enough with her job and she couldn't bare the complaints Yeona's school sent her anymore. Naturally, the two would argue a lot. The situation at home wasn't any better, so Yeona decided to secretly save money from a job so she could live by herself. Additionally, she was aware that she caused trouble for Chiaki and even though Yeona wasn't too fond of her, she didn't want to bury the vet more. Once she saved up enough and secured herself an apartment, she left Chiaki without leaving a note behind. Since then she hasn't heard about her.

Her job isn't well paid at all, but she gets by with it. With a part time job at 7/11, cup noodles are something she ate on a daily basis. Now, she's living by herself in a one-room apartment that only gives space for sleep and eating but there wasn't any other offer that she could afford.
