  1. How to::
  2. Warp Item Rando
  3.
  4. - Obtain a Speedchoice 7.31 Rom.
  5. - Firstly, use UPR-Speedchoice to generate a randomised rom.
  6. - Secondly, use warp randomiser. Choose your desired options and input the randomised rom. You will need to manually select 7.31 as the base. For guidance on this refer to IFR's readme.
  7. - Finally, use the most recent version of the item randomiser. Choose your desired settings. In order to use warps, the easiest way is to use the Packs option, and input the Warp Pack. This will add all the warp-based modifiers for logic. You can remove these modifiers if you want to, so on first-playthroughs, make sure to check with your warp settings.
  8.
  9. WARNING:
  10. When playing this version of Item Warp Rando (or even warp rando in general) DO NOT clear Slowpoke Well until you have spoken to Kurt in his house.
  11.
  12. These are:
  13. - Warps
  14. This will check the warp endpoints in the rom and use warp logic
  15.
  16. - Start With Bike
  17. Removes the bike from the pool. This does NOT force Bike to be started with, so you MUST select this option in speedchoice settings.
  18.
  19. - Not Early Moon Rival:
  20. In previous versions of IFR, Mt Moon rival would trigger, but the trigger can be removed as an input option. This modifier makes it so the rival fight is not in logic until you have 7 Badges.
  21.
  22. - No Progression Fly Warps:
  23. Any item, flag or location requirements via a transition is not required until you have both Storm Badge and Fly obtained. A 'transition' in terms of item rando is determined as moving between two 'warp groups', which are thus defined as 'any group of warps you can always access the whole set in any direction'. Therefore, ledges and similar are not required until you have Fly. Items, such as Surf will also never be required to get these items. Once you have these requirements, everywhere else is open.
  24.
  25. - IFatRain Warp Randomiser:
  26. Change the logic for the randomiser to merge some warp groups. Note that the transitions in this will also change the behaviour of the transitions listed in 'No Progression Fly Warps', since there is no longer a requirement between the transitions. This is NOT included by default as the warp modifier (but is in the Warps pack) because other item randomisers exist.
  27.
  28. - No Early Strong Fights:
  29. Change the logic so strong/difficult fights are not required before you have 7 Badges. This applies to late gym leaders and a few other high-levelled Kanto trainers.
  30.
  31. - Remove Flash Logic:
  32. Remove Flash/Zephyr Badge as requirements to traverse caves. Recommended to be used with IFR Randomiser option to light up caves. Remove this logic if NOT using that warp settings. Flash is STILL required to access the items in the Flash Chamber.
  33.
  34. - Dont Replace Aide Item:
  35. Don't include the aide item in the item pool, allowing the behaviour set by the warp randomiser.
  36.
  37. - Silver Leaf Debug Mode:
  38. If the randomiser thinks you cannot get to a location, it will write a 'Silver Leaf' to that location instead. Report instances of these as they should NOT occur.
  39.
  40. A note on Silver Leaf/items:
  41. Sometimes other issues will occur, meaning items will be vanilla or left to their UPR randomised items. It is recommended to help testing NOT to randomise items as part of UPR as identifying an item as vanilla can be easier to find bugs. If you wish to still randomise items outside of logic (for example, for a Key Item Rando), you can use the new modifier 'Randomise Unaffected Items'. If you wish to keep good items out (such as hidden rare candies or gift items) you can use 'Dont Replace Good Items' modifier.
