  1. Operation Surreptitious
  2. CO-OP
  3. The Podagorsk peninsula has been under Soviet control for several years and has been a very important location for transporting personnel and equipment across the Baltic sea via both air and sea. It is usually heavily defended and several NATO attempts to recapture the area have failed. Now, there is a real posibility to retake it for good. With the war in Europe taking a heavy toll on both NATO and Soviet forces, the Soviets have recently recalled most of their units situated in Podagorsk into the main fight. To defend their bases, they have left a battalion of East German forces, which are a lot less experienced and not as well trained or equipped as most main Soviet forces.
  4. Using this opportunity, a squadron of British SBS forces will be covertly dropped off by ships at a dock in Podagorsk at night along with several M113 armored vehicles and Land Rovers equipped with HMGs and recoilless rifles. Due to the small size of the British forces and the nature of the operation, if the Soviets were called back to the peninsula, they would most likely be able to stop the operation dead in its tracks. To prevent this, the SBS forces will first have to take out four Soviet radio relays in the area. Once radio contact with the Soviets has been cut off, they will attack and capture the main air base on the southern end of Podagorsk.
  5. The destruction of the radios should delay a Soviet counterattack enough for more NATO forces to be able to land in the area and establish defenses and keep the area under NATO control. The success of this operation would deal a major blow to Soviet logistics and help the fight against Soviets in eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
