  4. The Garlic Press: Journalistic Integrity and Writer Responsibility
  5. 1. Writers are expected to be as accurate as possible given the circumstances, and they must seek reliable sources.
  6. 2. Stories that contain single eyewitnesses are to be reported as rumors, while stories with two or more can be reported as facts.
  7. 3. All stories that are not of critical importance must be:
  8. a. Reviewed for spelling and grammatical errors by a garlic press employee.
  9. b. Independently fact checked by a garlic press employee.
  10. c. Reviewed for final checks and formatting errors by a garlic press owner.
  11. Only then is the story able to be published. To determine if a story is of critical importance you must ask 3 questions:
  12. 1. Will this affect the majority of the Garlicoin community?
  13. 2. Could people lose potential Garlicoin over this?
  14. 3. If the history of Garlicoin was written in a book, would this event be mentioned?
  15. 4. If an error is discovered, you must publish an immediate correction.
  16. 5. The pursuit of the news is not a license for arrogance or any other rude behavior that may discredit the garlic press or any of her partners.
  17. 6. Writers are expected to report the news, not write advertisements. Any indication that a writer, received any kind of compensation in exchange for writing a story will not be tolerated.
  18. 7. View botting, or clicking on your article many times for monetary gain will not be tolerated and is detectable.
