  8. Well...how far a genre can decline huh? I still play Rock Band regularly, but I'm probably in the minority nowadays.

  32. It's just laughable that you could actually think Guitar Hero is a good franchise anymore. The Rock Band Network, even if everything else wasn't better (which it fucking is), pushes Rock Band so many levels higher than Guitar Hero it's just fucking incomparable.

  34. My guess is you're just used to Guitar Hero and can't adjust to the slightly different interface so assume it isn't as good.

  54. Warriors of Rock was equal to the likes of 2 and 3; 5 wasn't too terrible. They were definitely on their way up from the likes of Smash Hits and Van Halen. But that's beside the point. I've played every single Rock Band game, every single Guitar Hero game, and even played DJ Hero for longer than everyone on this entire board combined. You can joke and laugh and say I don't know shit about a lot of things, but you're fucking mistaken as hell if you think any of you know more about GH/RB than I do. The best thing going for Rock Band right now is the "Pro" stuff that they've integrated which is really cool, and RBN of course, but again everything else isn't as good as Guitar Hero.

  70. No, it's "Pro" instruments are one of it's strong points. If you take the normal instruments that both Guitar Hero and Rock Band has Guitar Hero is clearly the winner. Take the drums for instance, Rock Band still hasn't integrated an "expert +" mode which means it's impossible for their charts to be as accurate. As for song selection, read what I said in the first post: on-disc songs. As in what you buy with the game and don't have to pay any extra money to get. Guitar Hero always has and still is the clear victor in that battle. Additionally, what I meant by RBN was that it trumps GH's user creation interface. Finally, when I play a song on Guitar Hero and 100% it first try having played it and then play the same song on RB and the shitty hammer-ons fuck me over I'd say it's pretty important that their "interface" is better.

  92. my .02, GH shit the bed ever since they booted Harmonix, who coincidentally created RockBand. On disc selection is a huge matter of opinion, I fucking love the hell out of the majority of RB2's selection, GH3 (the last GH I've ever played) I can think of only three songs I like to play off the top of my head. after GH2 it seemed less about "hey here's a plastic guitar have some fun!" and more "HERE'S A PLASTIC GUITAR IT'S SUPPOSED TO PLAY LIKE THE REAL THING! SHRED! SHRED! SHRED! MWAHAHAHAHA!"
  93.
  94. I loved the characters in GH1 and 2, but in 3 and after they took themselves way too damn seriously with the art direction and animations. In RB I was a little put off by the create a character mode but in the end it was totally awesome, I kinda wish the game was a little more cartoony in their actions.
  95.
  96. I'm not gonna get too deep into the technicalities of gameplay, it basically plays the same, but RB has a shorter time frame for its HO/POs, you just need to adjust to the game. That's like hating Super Street Fighter IV because a combo that worked in vanilla Street Fighter IV doesn't work in Super. Game mechanics change. Deal with it.
  97.
  98. I'd just like to end it with this RB>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GH

  105. But what it boils down to is, I have my opinion and you guys have yours and neither is going to change their opinion regardless of what evidence is shown by either group. All in all it's the Internet and we're people sitting here debating on whether or not your plastic guitar is better than mine or not.

  107.
  108. Rock Band 3 has Pro Drums which is essentially Expert+
  109.
  110. Also I can 100% a song in Rock Band play it in Guitar Hero and there are added notes that just aren't there. As for which plastic guitar is better? Guitar Hero 3 guitar is the best plastic fischer price toy guitar EVER
