ㅡBACKGROUND :
She was born in Ilsan, Korea, on June 2nd. She was born into a pretty average family, as her mom worked as a owner of a small restaurant while her dad worked as a high school teacher. Yewon got along well with her family, especially her little sister, Insuk, who was her complete opposite. In general, the family are all pretty chill, but all strongly believe in work ethics. She met Kiwoo in daycare after fighting over who got to use the red crayon. After they sat through their time out, they bonded over the crayons and became best friends. She met Hosong in high school (sophomore year for her and freshman year for him) after giving him a tour of the school. They instantly clicked and became best friends. She met Miyoung after Kiwoo introduce her to Yewon as his girlfriend. It took a while for Yewon to become friends with her, but she is grateful for Miyoung, as Miyoung has always been the girlfriend that Yewon never had in her life.

She got pretty good grades in school due to her diligence and how she would always study, rather than due to her intelligence (she wasn’t the smartest). She didn’t really join any clubs besides drama club, and that was because Hosong forced her and Kiwoo to. She didn’t want to actually act and god forbid she was horrible with both makeup and fashion, so she decided to take on the role of stage manager. Her experience as a stage manager was surprisingly good, as it led her into majoring in stage management when she graduated. She got a degree in stage management and afterwards became a stage manager in Mnet. Both her sister and her moved, as her sister decided to enroll in a college around where Mnet is located.

ㅡFAMILY AND FRIENDS :
     | MOTHER
× KANG TAEHEE [ 49 ] yewon gets her looks from her mother. Taehee is quite energetic, very social, and is the more optimistic one compared to her husband, all characteristics that Yewon’s sister Insuk gains. She is great with people and always has lively conversations with her customers, no matter what the topic is about. She can get carried away at times with her wild ideas and can be embarrassing, however, Yewon loves her mom dearly and misses her warmth. Taehee is the one that holds the pants in the relationship and has been making advancements on Kyungjae from the beginning. She also is the one who is more prone to losing her temper and is the one that gives out punishments. Her mother is an owner of a small restaurant.

× KANG KYUNGJAE [ 46 ] yewon gets her personality from her father. He’s quiet and a studious man with a heart of gold. He rarely ever raise his voice and is always the rational one between the two parents, reasoning to Taehee when she explodes. He has always been the one to listen to Yewon and give her advice when times were tough for her. Kyungjae has always been the shy underclassman who hid behind his book, studying in order to become a good student. However, he managed to grab the attention of Taehee, who pursued him. He is a high school teacher.
     | YOUNGER SISTER
× KANG INSUK [ 21 ] the two of them get along well and are quite close, despite the two being polar opposites. They are roommates and live together because Yewon is rarely there to clean up and make sure nothing happens in her apartment. Plus, Insuk gets the apartment all to himself most of the time because Yewon’s busy at work, so they both win by being roommates with each other. Insuk is very girly and is a lot more lazier than Yewon, getting passable grades. She has a lot more experience with makeup and fashion compared to Yewon and a lot more feminine than her. Insuk is very social and has a vast friend group, however she still has a close friend group that is very important to her. She looks up to Yewon, as Yewon has always been there for her in times of need and has always helped her out, much like their dad. Insuk is single and currently a college student majoring to become a makeup artist.
     | BEST FRIEND
× JUNG KIWOO [ 26 ] they have been best friends ever since they were in diapers. Kiwoo, like Yewon, doesn’t really like loud spaces or crowds, and has much rather preferred the presence of Yewon, Hosong, or Miyoung (later on of course). He wasn’t as introverted as her though, as he did have a good amount of friends outside of his close friend circle. Kiwoo has always been mothering Yewon, making sure that she ate properly and slept enough. Without him, she probably wouldn’t be doing anything properly and would be somewhat friendless. He cares deeply for others, especially Yewon, and is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. He loves to take care of others and can deeply understand someone without them having to tell him anything, which Yewon is thankful for. However, he does have the tendency to nag a lot, which drives Hosong and Yewon crazy. He is currently married to Jung Miyoung and works at a nursery.

× JOH HOSONG [ 24 ] she met him in high school, as he moved from Gwangju to Ilsan. She had to show him around school and they somehow instantly became best friends. Out of the three, he has always been the one who went out to parties and was much more boisterous than the other two. He lived for thrill, adventure, and most of all, DRAMA. He always does stuff that would be embarrassing to others, however due to his immense confidence, never really cares. Hosong has always been the one to give advice to Yewon about things such as relationships or self-confidence and has been the one to truly crack away her shell. He has always loved the theater and always feels rejuvenated when he acts up on stage. He is currently dating a guy named BOO DOYOUNG and works as a theatrical actor.

× JUNG MIYOUNG [ 26 ] it’s a miracle really that Yewon has a female friend, seeing as she rarely ever gets out of her mancave. Miyoung is a very independent person that takes shit from no one. She’s not one to be walked over on and is someone that stands up for her own thoughts. Miyoung can be a bit vulgar sometimes and can be stubborn at times, but Kiwoo’s gentle personality usually balances that out well. She is someone that is very passionate and She has known Yewon ever since college (Kiwoo started dating her in college) and has always been someone that had Yewon’s back if she was ever in trouble. Miyoung is married to Kiwoo and is currently working in a coffee shop.

ㅡPERSONALITY TRAITS :
     | INTROVERTED - outside of her position as stage manager, she doesn’t really do well with interacting with people. She doesn’t really initiate things with people and doesn’t bother with going to company parties or socializing events. She’s not shy or anything, it’s just that most of the times it’s because she isn’t free due to her work schedule, but other times it’s because she uses every time she has off to her advantage in order to relax and make up for the lack of sleep. She doesn’t like being in loud places anyways. Yewon is pretty awkward when it comes to introducing herself to new people and has a difficult time keeping up conversations.
     | CANTANKEROUS - this rarely happens, but god, when she is cranky, she’s a nightmare to work with. This side of her is only shown when she is extremely stressed and has no more patience for mistakes. This typically happens when shows start getting really hectic, as she has a hard time trying to get everywhere and make sure that everything is in tip top shape.
     | CANDID - she doesn’t really have a problem with saying her two cents when it comes to work, because it gets the job done faster, and she’s all about getting things done quickly. Her introvertedness doesn’t hinder her from blatantly stating her opinion to her co-workers, as she knows she has to in order to get things done. She the one to turn to if you need a honest opinion about something.
     | BAD AT TAKING CARE OF HERSELF - she never really takes good care of herself because of how time it takes to do her job. There are days where she just powers on ramen and coffee because she hasn’t slept for a day or two and she still needs to check each of the cameras. Typically DOWNPOUR reminds her to drink some water or eat something besides dark chocolate and instant ramen. This originated back in high school, when she would always stay up late at night to finish assignments and skipped lunch a good number of times to study or to get to drama club.
     | INDIFFERENT : she could care less about what people think of her and doesn’t let people’s opinions affect how she sees herself. She has pretty thick skin that she has developed over the years, so hearing snarky comments here and there is nothing. As long as she can get her shit done and gets paid, that’s all that really matters honestly. It amazes people how hard it is to crack her surface because it typically never happens, no matter how hard someone tries or how harsh the words are.
     | SARCASTIC : she has times where she’s very sarcastic (mainly when she is really stressed) and when she uses sarcasm on someone, they usually know not to mess with her. She gets really snippy and all of a sudden a sharp tongue comes out, ready to shoot out at someone if they get on her wrong side (even if they didn’t mean to)

     | RATIONAL - she likes to pride herself on how she typically doesn’t act based on just emotions and thinks before doing or saying something. Yewon is someone that considers the consequences before she decides to react in a certain way. She likes the control that she has of her own feelings, as that is the one part of her life that she can strongly say she has control over.
     | PRIVATE - she’s always believed in keeping personal problems and your private life separate from your work space, as it would always cause trouble. Her facials are quite rock like and solid, as she doesn’t really like letting people in on problems that she has, especially if it’s a personal problem. She’s not really someone to confide to anyone unless it is necessary or if the problem has gotten really out of hand.
     | HARD WORKING : she’s somehow managed to get through her job as a stage manager for Mnet alive due to her diligence and hard working attitude. She doesn’t really like taking breaks and works until she finishes her job, even if it means sacrificing her health.
     | DEPENDABLE - if she says she’ll do something, she’ll undoubtedly get it done. You can trust on her to keep her word. She’s always a valued member when it comes to group work, as she always has her part completed and never slacks off.

     | AWKWARD : he’s just… very awkward offstage. It’s actually quite endearing. He always reminds people of a teenager that isn’t comfortable in their own skin yet and is still trying to get used to their changed environment. He always fidgets, swaying side to side or fidgeting his fingers, and is nervous at times due to the attention that he gets, which tends to make him feel somewhat embarrassed and shy.
     | EASILY EMBARRASSED : he easily gets flustered and if it doesn’t have to do with music and he gets attention for it, then boy is he embarrassed. He doesn’t really know what to do or say once he’s done singing and dancing, because the rush of excitement is gone. Sewoon doesn’t really know what to do when attention is brought up to him and kind of just squirms around like a little boy.
     | SINCERE : he’s genuine and acts based on his feelings, not letting any other reasoning control what he feels. He is someone that is honest to himself and to others as well, which is quite refreshing at times. He never has to act around others and others don’t worry about whether or not he really means what he says. Sewoon is just a trustable person that would not lie to you.
     | SWEET : he’s the epitome of the boy next doors. He is wholesome, unassuming, and gives this air of innocence. Sewoon is just so loveable and kind that it kind of amazes people. He’s the boy that you dreamed of dating and was the boy who you were proud to show your parents when they decided to invite him over to dinner.
     | GULLIBLE : sadly, he quite trusting, sometimes too much to the point where it is easy to betray him and use him. He can't really tell when he is being used and even if he does figure out, he just doesn’t learn.
     | HARD WORKING : he has incredible work ethics and will work hard enough so he can succeed in becoming a great musician and a future CEO. Sewoon doesn’t take any shortcuts to fame and will work his way to success, diligently and morally.

× back in season 1, there was a camera prank where the staff pretended to break the camera to see what the trainees would do. That gave her a fucking heart attack because she didn’t know what was going on and thought that SHE would have to pay for the camera
× she doesn’t really trust DOWNPOUR with handling cameras or other equipment, so she just has DOWNPOUR get her coffee, water, lunch, etc.
× she has a sleeping bag, blankets, pillows, toiletries, ramen, and a change of clothes in her office just incase she has to work overnight or is taking a nap.

ㅡHER JOB :

Her job is tiresome to say the least. No one really acknowledges how much effort it really is to be a stage manager for a show like PRODUCE 101. Like sure, music shows are fine because a lot of idols bring their own microphones and there aren’t as many cameras to take care of, but this time, there’s 101 cameras and microphones to take care of  + lighting and other technical stuff. Doing all of that is exhausting and quite frankly, a pain in the ass. She’s not really close with her co-workers her because she doesn’t really go out to gatherings or bond with them. She isn’t hated by her co-workers, but she isn’t really liked by them either. She can be a pain in the ass to work with when she is cranky or when she gets super stressed. However, they do have some respect towards her, as she carries a lot of the pressure and stress as the stage manager, yet somehow manages to do it all successfully.

× lol this has always been in the back of my mind but y’know the camera prank that ioi went through in PD101 SEASON 1 that I mentioned earlier? So something like that happens, but instead with the boys, and it’s a hidden camera. However, they somehow forgot to tell Yewon and Yewon accidentally walks into one of the hidden cameras, screaming because her precious camera was broken. She just hugs the camera pieces and mumbles about how her job as a stage manager for Mnet is over and how she is going to live the rest of her life as a hobo.

× you know that one hidden camera where the boys sit in front of the mirror and a figure pops up, scaring them? So basically that’s what happening, but some of the staff also have to go through it, and Yewon is one of them. She practically pees in her pants after getting scared and runs the fuck out of the room, screaming her little head off.

× he gets her a cup of coffee as thanks for fixing his microphone for him (something happened during before the performance and his microphone wouldn’t work correctly, so she ended up fixing it for him last minute)
