So, for the sake of making a proper modpack, i've added a few mods that for Sk8's sake will probably need to be removed serverside, but on talking to some people who play minecraft, think it should be added to the pack for people to have, Namely, chisel and decocraft. We can remove those from our spesific packs if needed.

  12. Well, as said, easy to remove them. I just want to add them to the offical pack set.
  13. It would be like having tinker's tools in a way.
  14. If tinkers tools was causing Sk8 issues so we couldn't include it, we'd remove it from the server of course(edited)
  15. But you'd hardly expect me to not have it in the pack at all, right?

  25. Right now i'm carrying around 4 iron pickaxes at a time.

  31. Theres also a lack of interest in tool building so to speak? Like, I just throw whatever together without caring.
  32. Whereas with Tinkers I had options to think about.

  41. On single options, Tinkers is the same. By the time you learn it, there's one perfect tool.

  44. Theres diffirent tools for diffirent situations.
  45. But theres again, a lack of care involved. At the very least theres STYLES of tools.
  46. I could use a hammer instead
  47. or one fo the three types of swords.
  48. Rather than a pick or a regular blade.
  49. Hell I might not even have a blade if i've made a badass waraxe.

  51. I can understand where you're coming front to a degree with it being refreshing to not have it
  52. But I just can't agree that losing such a significant amount of options and power is refreshing.
  53. This modpack doesn't even have weapons that deal over 5 hearts practically.
  54. Highest I noticed when poking at tools was a weapon that did 10 half hearts.
  55. Anyways my point is, we're just plain losing options.
  56. Droping Botania, I get that, it's kinda overwhelming and we've done it a billion times.
  57. But why would you not want Tinkers?

  62. Thats because theres nothing to overshadow really.
  63. The ONLY other mod I can name that adds weapons/tools that aren't super gimmicky is Botania
  64. And even Botania's stuff is gimmicky.
  65. Even the infernium stuff has a gimmick right?

  68. A special dagger for getting materials for mob crops.
  69. The core swords get just progressive strength and durability boosts. The final tier has charms to modify them, didn't look into those yet.
  70. Bows get durability, bonus damage and draw speed.

  72. Well, in terms of core swords then, why would I want those?
  73. If they're just upped damage and durability, why would I want that if it's difficult to get?
  74. And if it's not difficult to get, shouldn't it be?
  75. It's a matter of effort in my opinion. A straight numbers boost is boring. I'd rather just carry around a diamond sword than use some mods fancy tools that try to be impressive by inflating numbers.

  79. To me it's like... why would I bother even looking at these and checking if there's something worthwhile down the line if we have Tinkers?
