  58. In a what-if situation, Ash is charged with the murders of his friends after the horrifying events in the cabin. His story of fighting for his life against supernatural possessed people is lacking in credibility and is put in a mental institution. His attorney Sally finally believes his story, thanks to Professor Knowby's diary, and proceeds to find a way to get him out. Little do they know that the owner of the mental institution, Dr. Reinhard, has gotten hold of the Necronomicon and has re-released the evil. Ash with the help of Sam the half-deadite midget, must once again defeat the evil and rescue Sally from Dr. Reinhard.

Well I've played almost all the Evil Dead games and have to say this one has a great action level,(love the combos with the Chainsaw) but I didn't really care for the other weapons, they really should of added more weapons. although very short the storyline was good, didn't really like the fact that it is a "What If?" game but I got over it. Sam was especially fun to play as. although it got really repetitive, also they could of gave Sam more weapons. Ash was funny but he couldn't speak on command like in the other two games. so every new addition adds but takes away as well. I did not like the ending (AT ALL!) but everything else was awesome!...If your an Evil Dead fan you will enjoy this game. Oh yeah the end level is a fresh idea they added to the series. so over all good game could of been better.

OK first things first,this game is not the greatest game ever released.It will never win awards for graphics storyline or gameplay.It's really just another devil may cry clone yet even with all these stacked against the game it's still brilliant. Yes it may sound like a contradiction but this game really is fun to play.It may be repetitive and unoriginal but what sets this apart from most games of a similar nature is of course,Mr Bruce Campbell.Hell one of the only reasons that most people would have bought this game would have been to see Ash once again slice and dice whilst delivering the most cheesily entertaining one liners imaginable. Is this game worth 50 quid?No far from it,but if you pick this baby up second hand your in for a treat.The extras featuring campbell alone make this game worth buying
