  1. Rowan was just a little boy when he held a sword for the first time, one of the few memories he will never forget. The praising words that came from his father, the one figure he saw as a god. He was everything he wanted to be, a brave knight in shiny armour, skilled in combat. Not long after that, Rowan began training with his only and younger brother. A fitting partner for duel to improve one's strength, their father said.
  2.
  3. In the hot temperatures and scorching sun, Rowan trained with both sword and bow with no end, persistent to become like his father. The training did him well, as his physique would grow with the years, as well as his skills in combat.
  4.
  5. Rowan only had some faint memories of his mother who perished years ago, but it did not bother him. His father made sure there was food on the table, and that they had clothes, but just barely. He would be gone for long periods of times, and thus they were used to taking care of themselves, quickly growing independent. Rowan longed for a life with more ease, as it was tearing on his mind to have this constant struggle each and every day, no matter how much their father tried, raising two children on his own is an ever going hardship.
  6.
  7. As the brothers more or less grew up with nobody but themselves by their side, things could quickly turn to the worse, especially since Rowan took the lead. With a boyish mind of prank and mischief, Rowan was often impulsive in his choices, and had to take the consequences.
  8.
  9. From the bliss of youth, Rowan would soon be tossed into despair as his father died in battle. The brothers were devastated, and no longer with anyone to care for them, they were determined to start their own lives. Rowan would take his younger brother to a safe place, until he was old enough to defend himself. Blaming the loyalty their father had to the Lords for his death, in fury and sorrow Rowan decided to leave Essos, heading for the harbor in Myr to take them to a new place.
  10.
  11. Years passed, and with his prior training, he knew what he wanted to do in life. With a goal to live a wealthy life, fighting for those who pay, and not blindly taking any orders. Rowan would often train in the public, as to promote his own strength with confidence, always with his brother at his side.
  12.
  13. As a proud descendant from Valyria, Rowan's eyes would appear to have a wonderful hue of purple, which he knew came from his mother. In his years of adulthood his body grew large and sturdy, much because of how training became a daily habit, and would thus keep him in shape. He didn't quite outgrow all of the childish streaks, but would remain steadfast when it came to honour.
  14.
  15. He was a walking mercenary, and life had just began.
