  1. 1.) First Impressions
  2. - This is key to succeeding in Duge's class. If you are not a female, this becomes much more difficult, due to the stigma surrounding the maturity of girls vs boys. For the first week, or perhaps even a month, be very attentive and participate
  3.
  4. 2.) Writing
  5. - There are several key points to how Mr. Duge sees writing, as he grades most in how many sentences you write
  6. - NEVER start a sentence with a personal pronoun. He takes off basically 1 point every time you do this. Even if he says you can do it in bullets, if the assignment is graded then still start with the person's name.
  7. - Use quotes from the text in DBQ's (Document Based Questions). The more there is, the better it looks
  8.
  9. 3.) Type your spiral entries
  10. - Writing the spiral entries is extremely difficult, as you need to paraphrase every sentence he shows on the board
  11. - Most of the spiral entries are typing down notes from the smart board, and you need a proficient typing speed
  12.
  13. Extra:
  14. - On one of the tests, I got 14/16 on the essay question, while someone else got 11/15 (others got [something]/18).
