  1. Onion rings
  2.
  3. Need:
  4. 1 to 2 white onions, medium sized (you can do this with red onions but it won't be as good. Pick out the most round and perfect onion you can find)
  5. Oil enough
  6. 2 1/2 cups flour
  7. Two eggs
  8. 2 cups of bread crumbs
  9. Garlic salt to taste
  10. 1/2 can of beer (optional, though Miller Lite is preferred)
  11. 1/2 cup milk
  12.
  13. Recipe:
  14. Remove the skin from the onions, before cutting them into even rings about one and a half-inch thick. You want the rings to be at least 2 inches in diameter. Rather than throwing away the onion, though, you can cut it up and use it in scrambled eggs or in salads
  15. In a bowl, mix one can of beer, one cup milk, half-a-cup of flour, and the eggs.
  16. In another bowl, pour out two cups of flour
  17. In yet another bowl, pour out two cups of breadcrumbs.
  18. Once your dipping station is done, double-bread the onion rings by dipping them in batter, flour, crumbs, batter, and crumbs in that order.
  19. Let them sit for a minute or two to let the breading harden onto the onion.
  20. In a cast-iron wok or a deep frier, heat oil to about 350 degrees.
  21. Fry until golden brown, then place on a paper towel or wire rack.
  22. Dust with garlic salt and enjoy.
