  1. Minako, in a nutshell, is a firecracker filled with sunshine and pep. She goes through things she likes with great zest, be it idol stalking or trying to impress a boy or just making her friends' lives a little more exciting. She's cheery (though can be easily angered), goofy and forward to almost the point of ditzyness, and her occasional bouts of clumsiness just punctuate it all the more. She's plucky and gutsy, refusing to cry over little things, to the point that her classmates wonder if she's ever cried at all. Her self-esteem is remarkable, as she staunchly embraces who she is and what she was given, proudly stating at one point that she doesn't need to modify her looks because she's pretty as she is now. Admittedly, she does come off as sort of shallow, only paying attention to the new and more appealing things than appreciating what she has nearby (like Artemis). In essence, she's somewhat of a tomboy, by Japanese standards, speaking her mind with little filter, and not afraid of getting a little bit dirty or sloppy, like climbing up the wall to get home or sleeping in a bed full of junk.

  3. Her hobbies definitely say a lot about her as well-- stalking the tabloids and well-known celebrities is among on of her favorite things to do, and she'll always be the first to have the latest dish on a certain idol or actress. She is obsessed with fame and stardom, and one of her major goals in life is to become a well-known idol, outside of her Sailor Venus persona. This leads her to get rather competitive and determined to be the very best, sometimes overestimating herself or not thinking about what she's landing herself into until it's too late. This also happens a LOT when it comes to her romantic endeavors as well. Minako is in love with the concept of love, and she will get as much of it as she can if she has to, even dating two guys at the same time because she likes them both. She takes her title of the Senshi of Love almost a little too seriously sometimes, preaching about dating advice and calling herself "the Goddess of Love"; sadly, as much as she goes on about it, she has very little relationship experience of her own. It's not because none of them have caught her eye, oh no--she loves anything with a Y chromosome (and maybe even some without), and is constantly fawning over a new boy and trying to nab one for her own. She is rather fickle, though, so if a romance doesn't fall through quickly, she's on her feet to the next charming boy who catches her fancy. Minako is also very athletic, volleyball being is one of her favorite sports, and she can kick ass at marathons and any other sort of physical activity to boot. However, it doesn't extend to home life, as she can be amazingly lazy and content to spend her free time eating, reading manga and watching anime.

  5. However, there's more to her than just the seemingly ditzy, shallow exterior she gives off. While her enthusiasm for school and homework is certainly lacking, (which results in her not-so-stellar grades and tardy record), she is actually a brilliant and determined leader underneath, putting her duty to her Princess and the planet first above everything else. She's willing to sacrifice her loves and her dreams to fulfill her responsibility to Usagi, and when she first arrived to the group, she was the most serious and goal oriented of the five. Since she was the first to be awakened as a Sailor senshi by Artemis, and thus been fighting for a longer amount of time, she has more experience than the other girls and uses it to their advantage, using her knowledge to how the enemy works to stop them in their tracks. It doesn't exactly mean she's always confident about it, though. Numerous times throughout the series, she doubts her worth as a member of the group, be it not having a pure enough heart or being the last to have her transformation powers returned. None the less, she always remains optimistic and resilient, even when she has her more serious and mature leader mode on. Minako accepts her role as Sailor Venus as her calling and her destiny, as the part of her that makes her feel the most complete.

  7. One more thing to note is...she has a strange habit of mangling sayings and proverbs into something completely opposite. Stuff like "all work and no play makes John a happy boy!" instead of "dull boy", and so on and so forth. No one really knows why she does it, really.
