  1. Personal Information
  2. For any partnership to be successful, the partners need to know each other and have similar goals. I feel it important to start my application by telling you about me. My name is Dean Hagen, I am 27 years old, and I live in Illinois. I have been a life-long gamer and the instant I learned about Twitch, I immediately knew it was something that I wanted to be a part of. Since I have begun streaming on Twitch, my quality of life has improved dramatically. I have never been happier or more successful in my entire life. I wake up every day with clear focus and drive. I have found confidence in myself I never knew I had, and I would like to thank Twitch for bringing such a dramatic and positive change to my life.

  4. Streaming
  5. Many people see Twitch and think it's easy. Get a webcam, play a game. I was not like that. I saw Twitch as an opportunity and before I even started streaming, I was thinking about what type of content I wanted to produce, how I would attract viewers, how my stream would be different from other streamers, and a plethora of other details that I knew I would have to explore to be successful. I understand that Twitch is a business and for your business to be successful, I have to be successful. Thus, I wanted to wait to apply for a partnership until I had a foundation established.
  6.
  7. My foundation is now very solid. I have been streaming for just over 5 months and I have built a growing viewership. My first week of streaming was slow and in the single digits; however, the viewers always came back. One month later this trend continued, only now I had 15-30 viewers. A month after that it was 30-45 viewers. This trend has continued and has not showed any signs of slowing down. I am now holding 100+ viewers a night and have been for weeks. I typically stream 6-8 hours a day, 5-7 days a week. I've also fostered relationships with other streamers, and always encourage my viewers to not only watch other streamers within our community, but to explore other games and content Twitch has to offer. I will also often raid and host unknown streamers who I believe to be putting out quality content.
  8.
  9. Content
  10. I stream Hearthstone, specifically the Arena gameplay mode. The Arena gameplay mode has a fanatical following and allows for a wide variety of games each night, which keeps the content fresh. I may be playing one game (Hearthstone), but it's not repetitive. Each night I play between 3-6 different games of Arena, using different heroes, different decks, and different play styles.
  11.
  12. There are two things that already make my stream successful. The first is that there are not a lot of Hearthstone streamers that focus specifically on Arena. Most streamers play constructed exclusively, or mostly constructed with an Arena thrown in every once in awhile. Your typical Arena player does not enjoy watching constructed and seeks out those few streamers who stream Arena exclusively. The second thing is the time I stream. There are virtually no other Arena streamers that are on during my stream time (2:00 a.m.- 10: a.m CST). This allows me to draw in new viewers. I keep them with quality content and a deep understanding of the game.
  13.
  14. Since I have started streaming I have broken the known record for successful consecutive arena runs recorded on Twitch. I have done five 12 win runs in a row, one of them with the well known weakest possible class.
  15.
  16. One of my biggest strengths is that I am very interactive with my viewers. I do my absolute best to read all of my chat comments and talk directly to my viewers. I talk through my decisions and welcome alternate lines of play from chat. I also spend hours a day off stream offering one-on-one private coaching. I have had such an overwhelming interest in this that I am often forced to schedule weeks in advance. By doing this, I've been able to build great relationships and a regular following that I know will only grow with my partnership with Twitch.
  17.
  18. Long-Term Goal
  19. While growing my viewership and producing quality content are admirable goals, I realize that Hearthstone might not be popular forever. I do not plan to stop streaming when this occurs. Rather, my long-term goal is to grow my viewership and loyalty to the extent that they will follow me regardless of what game I am streaming.
  20.
  21. I've had viewers asking for the ability to subscribe to my channel since the start; however, over the past few months these requests have become more and more frequent, approaching rampant. There is a true hunger in my chat for subscription options. I have dozens of people who have pledged to subscribe to me if given the option. I have a handful of quality emotes ready, and feel fully prepared for partnership. I hope to hear back from you soon.
  22.
  23. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to along and prosperous partnership with Twitch.
