Hello. I am one of your constituents.

You are undoubtedly busy, and I do not wish to occupy too much of your time. My message is this: I have never voted in any public election. I did not vote even during the 2008 elections, despite the high opinion many of my contemporaries held towards our then-soon-to-be President. I have never registered to vote.

However, if you vote against the implementation, in any form, of the bill H.R.3261, known as "SOPA" or the "Protect IP Act", I promise you that I will do the following:

I will register to vote.

I will vote for your re-election for every term you oppose H.R.3261 and similar acts.

I live in a college town. Many of my friends are students and staff at the (omitted) State College, a great institution of great benefit to our community.

To those friends and to my family, which has resided in this state for several generations, I will suggest that your policies are good and that they vote in your favor, again, at the end of every term you oppose this and all similar bills.
