I'm also evaluating a matter of changing the way we work on bugs.
Nowadays I see more and more bugs that are not really bugs,
but just problems in users configs etc.
I am thinking about going back to using Unconfirmed status more,
and maybe turning Assigned to Accepted.
So that developers can easily "filter the noise" and concentrate on real bugs.

We don't need many people to do bug assigning,
and with this change it is even harmful to have many bug assigners.
So sorry for shooting down your permissions on with assiging bugs.
