  18. <@Sound_Only> Safara, you're in one of the many massive hallways found deep within NERV-02. You're almost certain it's empty, deserted. It takes some time to realize you're laying down, and can't seem to sit up.

  21. <@Sound_Only> Actually...you move, but there isn't any text or interface. You see clearly, none of your software is running. In fact...your arm doesn't feel as heavy either.
  22. <Safara> Can't sit up...let's try to lift that arm, get a look. Someone's fucking with me. "This isn't funny, guys." She calls out to the empty hallway.
  23. <@Sound_Only> Ah, look at that! You can see just enough...you're strapped to a gurney, in a flimsy hospital gown. To one side in an IV leading into your arm. Both are flesh and blood.
  24. <@Sound_Only> Footsteps come from the distance, bit without your software, you can't make out exactly who it is. Your senses are only human, after all.
  25. <Safara> "Hello?!" Her heart races in her ears, body squirming against her restraints. Any give anywhere?
  26. <@Sound_Only> Not enough to do you any good. You can struggle, but you won't be going anywhere. The footsteps are closer. You can just make out some forms. Four men and a woman, all in scrubs. One is carrying a tray with...something on it.
  27. <Safara> "H-hey! What's going on?" Her head turns, craning.
  28. <@Sound_Only> Without the caps to hide them, you can easily make out Churchill, Sebastian, Kyle and Isabel. They along with the fifth member circle around your gurney. Your friends ignore you, talking in medical terms as though prepping someone for surgery.
  29. <Safara> "Come-come on guys! Joke's over, untie me now!" A nervous desperation seeps in, confusion at the contradiction of timeline pushed to the back of her mind in fear.
  30. <@Sound_Only> That fifth figure hovers over you, using a marker to draw incision lines across your now naked form. "We can't afford to lose you now. You aren't ready yet."
  31. <Safara> Panic. "This isn't funny! I'm fine, see?!" More struggle, sweat and rapid breathing.
  32. <@Sound_Only> Churchil disappears for a moment, then ceturns rolling a metal rack. Familiar items test on it, a metallic arm, false organs.
  33. <@Sound_Only> The figre looking down at you removes his cap and mask. It's him.

  36. <Safara> "...No! Nononono!" Struggle ascends to thrashing, desperate and terrified. "I don't need those, see?! I don't! I DON'T! NO!" She screams, over and over...
  37. <@Sound_Only> "It's for your own good." That kind face smiles down at you, strokes your cheek with the back of his hand. Churchill brings something over. It isn't mechanical, but a familiar shape, a brilliant red sphere.
  38. <Safara> "Wh..." Her eyes dart back and forth, from the orb to Churchill and back again. "What is that?" Shaking uncontrollably, her mouth goes dry and sharp.
  39. <@Sound_Only> "Man, in his arrogance, took for himself the Fruit of Knowledge. My gift to you, Safara, is the Fruit of Life." Only he seems to talk. Churchill and the others remain silent, staring.
  40. <@Sound_Only> From the metal tray he takes up a scalple. A pad soaked in iodine runs across her skin, cold mixed with an unpleasnt smell.
  41. <Safara> Her face turns, stomach twisting. A final struggle before she descends to into sobs, pleading with her friends and Churchill.
  42. <@Sound_Only> "I do this because I love you. Eden needs a mother." The scalple decends, and as her nerves cry out with the first tingling of pain she startles awake.
  43. <@Sound_Only> She's aboard on the carrier aircraft with the other pilots, heading for Tartarus.
  44. * Safara bolts upright in a shaking cold sweat, grabbing at her arm. "..."
  45. <@Sound_Only> A look around and she can see the others are asleep.
  46. * Safara lies back down slowly, pulling her blanket tighter and uttering a whimper, lost to the hum of the aircraft's engines.
  47. <@Sound_Only> Kyle. You're in a movie theater. The room is small, and could seat a small audiance. You find that you're all but alone. A boy sits ahead of you, a mop of curly black hair on his head. Someone is moving around behind you too. On the screen, the movie looks dreadfully familiar. It's your life, void of sound, playing out as if someone had been there the entire time, recording it.
  48. <Kyle> "Ehh... That is odd..."
  49. <@Sound_Only> You're a toddler in this section of the firm, arms holding you tightly to a female figure. You can't quite make out her features, but you recognize your father.
  50. <Kyle> "Huh... Even in a movie about myself, I can't find out who my mother is..."
  51. <Kyle> Kyle mutters as he takes a quick glance around the theatre.
  52. <@Sound_Only> The figure behind you won't stop shifting around, but you'll have to turn around fully to see who it is. The boy up front is still watching, attentively. You're the only three there. The scene of the movie changes. You still can't hear, but your father and mother seem to be arguing. He's angry, pissed. His face is red and veins are bulging. Your mother is calm, serene, laying out the facts of whatever they were discussing.
  53. <Kyle> "I see who I inherited my calmness from... Maybe I should watch this for a bit, I might get a better view of my mother later on."
  54. <@Sound_Only> This scene seems to repeat itself on several occasions, night after night. You never seems to get a better view of your mother, but certainly a better understanding. You can almost feel the love she had for you, how deeply she cared for her darling son.
  55. <@Sound_Only> Eventually it happens. You may not have realized you were waiting for it, but you still feel the emotional hit. Your mother has stopped appearing in the movie now, and your father has retreated into all of the bottles he can find.
  56. <Kyle> "... Well... To be expected, since I don't even remember her... But..." Kyle mutters quietly to himself before finally shaking his head.
  57. <Kyle> "Right, I have other matters to think about, like first... why does this movie exist?
  58. <Kyle> "
  59. <@Sound_Only> A sniffle behind him, followed by soft sobbing.
  60. <Kyle> Kyle stands and makes way for the exit doors, taking a look at the person who was behind him as he does so.
  61. <@Sound_Only> It's a woman, nake save for a bird skull mask she's wearing. "So tragic..." Shesobs more, shoulders trembling.
  62. <Kyle> "... Makes more sense then a movie of my life anyways..." He mutters as he continues for the door.
  63. <@Sound_Only> The door itself is locked, and there is only darkness beyond the small windows.
  64. <Kyle> He gives a small sigh and returns to his seat, deciding to wait until the movie ends and the doors likely unlock and open.
  65. <@Sound_Only> How long does it go on? There are no clocks, his watch doesn't work and his phone is dead. How long has he been sitting here watching? There are the S2 agents now, pulling him out of school. The sobs of the woman behind him have become more frequent.
  66. <Kyle> "I did not exact it to really be a movie over my entire life... But wait... how long have I been here anyways? It can't have been that long... must have just felt like it."
  67. <@Sound_Only> The boy a few rows ahead of you has slumped over, which the woman behind you has taken to pathetic whimpers and gasps as the movie continues to play itself you.
  68. <Kyle> "Ugh... do I really have to rewatch those Angel Fights?"
  69. <@Sound_Only> Oddly...as it comes to the first fight...you're all slaughtered.
  70. <Kyle> "Well... can't hurt to review I guess, and I might think of a new way to... What?"
  71. <Kyle> "That isn't right... We beat that cat Angel."
  72. <@Sound_Only> Safara's Nephilim is torn apart. Isabel is torn from hers and turned to pulp in the creature's jaws. Sebastian goes beszerk and tears your Nephilim limb from limb before it finishes you both off.
  73. <@Sound_Only> Before it can continue the film tears and the screen goes white. You can hear the torn end of the film flapping around as the projector continues to turn the reel in vein.
  74. <@Sound_Only> A smell has started to assault your nostrils too, blood.
  75. <Kyle> "Ehh... Admittingly, a possible end I suppose, considering our general lack of experience at the time... But luckily life didn't take that turn."
  76. <@Sound_Only> The woman has gained some control of herself, though shes muttering now as hands seek to wipe away the tears. "My poor boy...my poor sweet child..."
  77. <Kyle> "That smell... It's-wait, what?" Kyle says as he quickly stands and turns to face the woman as he overhears her.
  78. <@Sound_Only> "He doesn't deserve that life, I wanted to spare him..." Her body is back to trembling, arms seeking to hold herself.
  79. <Kyle> "Spare... Does that mean you are... my mother?"
  80. <@Sound_Only> The bird-skull mask lifts, long black hair tumbling out the back while watery brown eyes stare up at him.

  82. <Kyle> "Then... I have so many questions... but first things first... Where are we, and... why aren't you wearing anything...?" He says as he averts his gaze upwards towards the ceiling.
  83. <@Sound_Only> Something hits you, and you're on the floor Kyle. Its your mother, hands pressing down on your shoulders as she stradles you. The floor is wet, the smell of blood thicker than ever. "I'll always protec you, no matter what! They took me from you, but we're together again!" Her voice is urgent, desperate.

  87. <Kyle> "Gah! Okay, okay! I understand! Please just calm now so we can discuss this!" Kyle says as he attempts to free himself from his mother and stand back up.
  88. <@Sound_Only> The sickly red liquid is getting higher Kyle. The woman in the mask lets you up and takes a few steps away.
  89. <Kyle> "What is with this smell too... and it's rising... Okay, we need to find a way out of here." Kyle says as he takes a quick look around for a way out.
  90. <@Sound_Only> The door is still locked Kyle, and there are no other obvious exits. Still the blood rises, and soon it'll drown the three of you.
  91. <Kyle> "Rising... it's rising... Something... ah! Maybe I should just try and pick the lock, yeah!" He mutters as he quickly looks through his pockets for anything useful.
  92. <@Sound_Only> Your mother is moving away, toward the boy in the front row of the theater.
  93. <Kyle> At this point he has become frantic and doesn't even notice, all his focus now on the task of disarming the lock from the door.
  94. <@Sound_Only> No matter what you try it isn't going to budge. Whoevers behind this plans to see you dead. The bloody tide has reached your knees.
  95. <Kyle> "No... It has to open! There must be a way out! Somewhere... somehow!"
  96. <@Sound_Only> Crimson death fills the theater, washing over seats and soon overtaking you. As you finally take one last desperate gulp of hair, blood fills your mouth. As it fills your lungs-
  97. <@Sound_Only> -you awake in a panic, sweating and breathing heavily.
  98. <@Sound_Only> You're aboard the carrier aircraft with your fellow pilots, on your way to Tartarus.
  99. <Kyle> "NOOO!" Kyle shouts as he wakes and bolts his upper body up. "... What...? This isn't..."
  100. <@Sound_Only> The others are asleep on the long trip, which started much earlier that morning.
  101. <Kyle> "Then... A dream? Well... nightmare..." He mutters more quietly as he realizes the others are still asleep.
  102. <Kyle> "It seemed real though... I wonder if that really was mother's face..."

  105. <@Sound_Only> Benjamin, you find yourself naked, walking thorough a bloody battlefield. Dead men and bones beneath your feet, faceless men fight and die. No...not faceless. They're all you, killing one another without any mercy. The skies above are dark, the air choked with smoke from fires burning in the distance.
