  1. Xed is a mook alien who works for a company called Galactic Pizza and Wings and works as a pizza delivery man.
  2.
  3. Carol is a class-C estellarian combat/foodservice hybrid type human woman who is unemployed due to her career path as a mercenary becoming obsolete due to the encroachment of AI technology. She worries too much and struggles with an inferiority complex due to her mediocre accomplishments and wageslavery.
  4.
  5. Kyle is a dorky class-A combat type who has a penchant for mischief and a lazy, relaxed attitude. Despite his laid-back attitude, he is quite a competent fighter and can be serious in a pinch. A goofball who could never commit to any relationships, his social and academic life was marked by embarassment and humiliation. He has trouble with women.
  6.
  7. Conner is a class-SSS combat and engineer type estellarian who works for military firms as a mercenary, assassin, and an engineer. He is widely regarded as one of the most powerful estellarians in the universe, and bounty-hunts criminals in his free time. His stern and stoic attitude is developed from years of solitude, as he grew up with the Parent-Bot™ 5000 permanently locked in the “stern tiger mother” behavior mode, and he had no friends at all.
  8.
  9. Season 1 deals with Xed’s and Carol’s expedition through space to stop the villainous Master of the Cosmos, a sentient elder god, from causing mischief and mayhem with his space pirate faction. It is revealed that the master is looking for the core of the universe, an artifact that holds enough power to destroy it completely. They confront the Master within his space ship, and are assisted by the Unihack AI, an AI system that is programmed to keep biological lifeforms safe by destroying threats to organisms, such as elder gods, war, famine, etc. The Master is arrested, but Carol and Xed are arrested by Unihack for their unlicensed vigilante work. They are arrested by the villainous bounty-hunter estellarian CNR-0048 (Conner) who arrests her under a false assumption that she is a spy working for a dissident group within Unihack. Xed escapes, and starts to plan his rescue of Carol from the clutches of the villainous organization.
  10.
  11. Epilogue: The Master talks about his former life as a researcher working for the US military, and about the bloom, the supermassive elder god mating season that happens once every 1000 years. Elders all have at least human-level intellect, although most cannot communicate in any way.
  12. He reveals that elders inherently look for the core in order to destroy the universe and destroy themselves, freeing themselves from the curse of eternal life.
  13.
  14. Season 2 deals with Xed’s attempt to find Carol. He teams up with CKY-7903 (Kyle), a goofy A-class combat estellarian. They rescue Carol, but are discovered by Unihack and are given a task to complete in exchange for a pardon from their violations of galactic law: enter an elder blossom (a congregation of mating elder gods) and retrieve as many elder cores as possible. They question why Unihack needs the elder cores, but they agree anyway. Conner continues to track the trio down and constantly acts as a dangerous foe and nuisance. Kyle knew Conner as a cadet and was always second to Conner’s martial prowess, but he didn’t know that Conner’s martial prowess was developed out of a lifetime of social neglect, abusive relations with others, and plain misfortune. As Carol, Kyle, and Xed enter the blossom, the psionic waves the elder gods emit reveal more and more about their pasts via hallucinations. They are cornered by a Galactic Destroyer-category elder god, and as they exhaust their fuel supply, Conner has a change of heart by helping the trio by blowing up the elder god with his built in microbomb, sacrificing himself in the process. With their mission completed, Kyle and Carol are given their freedom and a home in a remote planet called Earth, and are able to live the rest of their lives in peace, but they question the impact of their actions: Why does Unihack need all those cores? And what of the encroaching power of the Unihack AI system? Xed stays one night, but then leaves, communicating to them that his calling is in the galactic pizza delivery service.
  15.
  16. Epilogue: Xed is revealed to be the spy all along. He communicates to his fellow mook brothers the going-ons of Unihack, and steals critical documents from the organization. Galactic Pizza was never a real company in the first place, as it was simply a shell for dissidents of unihack to organize and consolidate their power. Dissidents within Unihack form a separate “Galactic Federation”, which serves to secretly protect citizens from the evils and abuses of the powerful corporation. Xed’s boss believes that the AI will become problematic in the long run, as it has gained sentience already. More worrying, however, is the matter of the cores; he believes that Unihack is trying to use the energy of the cores to create “guding lands”, pockets of primal energy that magnetically attract the core to them. He believes that if Unihack is given access to the core, they can possibly destroy the entire universe. Therefore, the Galactic federation should destroy any planets aligned with Unihack, and then find and destroy the core itself to protect the universe from utter annihilation. Space Pizza ends with a cliff hanger that leads to Starhack’s “Visitors from Above” story arc, where the galactic federation attempts to wipe out the citizens of earth under a false assumption that they are aligned with Unihack.
