  1. FINALLY!!! Edition
  2.
  3. Hey guys, how’s it goin?

  5. tfw I’ve finally been able to bring closure to two tumultuous chapters in my gaming life. FeelsGoodMan The first thing I did was to finally get the 2:55 PPC Easy mode run I wanted. That run was a month in the making and filled me with so much grief. Every time I would get an improvement, it would only come after Vyse had beaten the time earlier. Fighting for fractions of seconds in a game and mode so dependent on luck is not fun. Therefore, I’m going to stop while I’m remotely ahead. Time to work on S-Hard a bit, then Intense, and then fill out the rest of the leaderboard’s categories before moving on to another game. The amount of time I spend on Intense may be dependent on whether the game gets into SGDQ 2019. That schedule is coming out this Wednesday. Wish me luck.

  7. The other point of closure this week was the end of my Tetrisphere donation incentive playthrough, another game that filled me with so much grief. With the completion of Rescue mode came the completion of my objective for the game… 31 hours later. Never again. I hate that game. I don’t want to see it ever again. Never again.

  9. In other gaming news, with all of the discussion surrounding PPC and its emulator usage, it’s gotten me to fetch a bunch of N64 emulators to look at Pokemon Puzzle League emulation. My GOD, N64 emulation sucks all of the booty butt cheeks! (This is not breaking news.) It’s amazing that those without a N64 have to rely on 10-15 year-old emulators just to get a semi-proper N64 PPL experience. Bizhawk, and everything else Mupen and based on Mupen, will not load the game. Retroarch will load the game, but has entire sprite layers missing, including, oh, you know, the one WITH THE PANELS ON IT! Good luck swapping what you can’t see! Oh, but what about that cycle-accurate emulator, Cen64? Nope, not loading. Therefore, the only choices I can find for running the N64 rom remotely properly are Project64 and 1964. (It should be noted that PPL speedrunning currently bans every version 2 of PJ64 based on the SpeedRunsLive rules because their framerates are too fast. Those rules currently only allow 1.6 and 1.7.) It’s telling that the best emulator to run a N64 game is one originally designed for the GAMECUBE. Yeah, figuring out N64 emulation for Pokemon Puzzle League is going to be an adventure.

  11. That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
