MOJO - The Story of How I Found My Cat


This, Is, Mojo.

Also known as Mojito, the Red Devil, and Little Bowling Ball.

He's the most adorable cat ever, and I'm definitely not biased in any way. He keeps me company, keeps me warm, and is the ultimate stress reliever. I do have another cat, Tippy, but Mojo is special because of how I got him. This is that story.

- ON COUCH -
About 2 and a half years ago, on a fall night, my family and I were sitting here watching a movie when my mom thought she heard a little meow. Not an adult cat meow like Tippy or her sister Rosie would make, but a kitten mew. We dismissed it.

- AT KITCHEN WINDOW -
The next morning, standing here doing dishes, we saw a flash of orange just outside. Naturally I had to go see what it was. (I thought it might be a baby fox).

- AT STUMP -
And here he was, a little unnamed orange kitten, no more than 3 weeks old, huddled up in this stump mewing for help and food. He was too deep down for me to be able to reach, so I left some food out for him and went back inside. After a few days, a friend with longer arms was able to reach him and get him out.

-AT WOOD PILE -
But scared little kitten freaked out, got out of my arms and ran, hiding in this wood pile. He kept coming out of the wood when I was inside, and hiding whenever I tried to come near. Over the next few weeks I put out food and a box with a towel so he had a nicer place to sleep. He slowly got more and more comfortable with me, until one day I was able to scoop him up and bring him inside.

And thus he became little Mojo. Mojito. The cutest, most personality filled cat I've ever known.
