Shoichi had fallen asleep when Byakuran poked into his bedroom. The strange white-haired man noticed that his friend was sleeping so soundly. Byakuran slipped under the boy’s covers without being noticed or even felt.

Byakuran realized how warm Shoichi was just from feeling his feverish cheeks and forehead. This made the boy frown as he turned and snuggled against something that had an odd warmth to it. The warmth felt soothing as he snuggled closer to it, feeling it wrap warmly around him with such comfort. Shoichi didn’t seem to care what it was that felt so hot against his shivering body as long as it didn’t go away.

Shoichi was still sound asleep and unaware that the actual warmth was from his strange companion. When his eyes finally opened, the boy fell out of bed in shock as his cheeks filled with a sudden redness, overlapping his already feverish red cheeks. Byakuran just peeked over his bed with a chuckle as Shoichi stared up with embarrassment.

“What the hell are you doing in my bed?” Shoichi rubbed his sore eyes and grimaced with pain. “I never even invited you into my room in the first place because I told you I felt like crap, didn’t I?” He got up and almost staggered over, being caught in Byakuran’s arms.

“Careful, dear~!! You aren’t feeling well so I don’t think you should over do it today, alrighty~?” Byakuran grinned as Shoichi groaned while the redness burned his cheeks. “It’s not very much fun if you are sick, now is it~?” He rubbed Shoichi’s back, trying to comfort him as best he could.

“Bya… Byaku… ran… I feel… I feel like… I’m going… to be… sick…” Shoichi sat up and staggered over to the trashcan. There was huge pain that seemed to throbbed immensely into his ears, sinuses, throat and head, making feel worse. Byakuran frowned as his companion puked into the trashcan. “Ugh… there’s so much pain right now…” He coughed as he wiped his mouth with a tissue.

“You should take some medicine, dear~!! Medicine always helps when you don’t feel well~!!” Byakuran came over and scooped Shoichi up into his tight arms. “But for now, maybe you should try to relax, don’t you agree~?” He knew that Shoichi was too sick to try to get away from his companion.

“Why do you have to use my sickness as an excuse to swoon me over?” Shoichi replied weakily as he buried his face into his companion’s warm chest. “You’re always so strange and you piss me off too…” He started coughing again.

“Because I worry about you when you aren’t feeling so well, dear~!!” Byakuran chuckled as he laid down next to his companion. “You should get some rest for me, okay~? The only way you’re going to get better is if you sleep~!!” He started running his finger up and down the bridge of Shoichi’s nose. “Maybe later you can try drinking some fluids~!!” Byakuran watched as his companion’s grew heavy until he finally fell sound asleep.

Byakuran smiled as he placed a soft gentle kiss against his companion’s hot forehead. The warmth made his lips tingle a bit but it felt nice as he finally moved his lips away. Shoichi didn’t budge as he clutched Byakuran’s shirt, mumbling something in his sleep.

“Don’t… don’t… leave… me…” Shoichi coughed as he snuggled against his companion’s body heat. It was obvious he had no idea what was going through his mind. The boy wasn’t feeling well and even though he wasn’t fond of his companion… somehow his warmth brought him such comfort. “I’m… c—c—cold…” He mumbled one last time until finally settling into his companion’s warm embrace.
