These rules are subject to change at any time! If you have any questions, speak to a staff member (They have a hat over their heads in the visitor list!). Please follow the rules. Punishment served will be final and ban appeals are not a thing to try for. If you are banned, you’re gone for good. It is not a staff member’s fault if you are punished or banned for breaking a rule you DID NOT READ. If you evade a ban in any way, you will NEVER be permitted back inside. No questions asked. If you are silenced as punishment, the timer will only tick when you are in the chat. If you leave the chat, the timer will be RESET.

Keep in mind, there is an “/ignore” feature in this room. If you ignore someone in the room, you will no longer see their posts. To use this command, simple type /ignore “Name” like /ignore “Jake (18/M/Wolf/Straight)” if you wanted to ignore a user named Jake (18/M/Wolf/Straight).

DISPOSABLE EMAILS OF ALL SORTS WILL BE BANNED ON SIGHT!

PMs are disabled in this room. The reasons include things such as:
Too many people PM as many people as they can to juggle numerous yiffs
PMs allow people to pull scummy behavior (ie: backstabbing, spreading lies, advertising other rooms)
Many people prefer to sit in PMs and never participate in chat unless it is to post their ref, thus leading to chats that are mostly random nonsense and a majority of RP is done in PMs
Many “wolves” are more inclined to wear “sheep’s clothing” when PMs are on.

*Main chat’s language is English only* Do not make it a habit of speaking in another language constantly. You will be asked to tone it down if it is done too much. Failure to comply results in a silence, a kick, and finally a permanent ban.
*If you want to apply to be a Bartender/Barmaid/etc. speak to an admin privately first*
*Do not call for a REF DUMP! It clogs the chat up with links and it’s a cowardly work-around to avoiding asking someone directly for their ref. Don’t be afraid! Get out there and socialize! Do not ref avalanche either! (Posting refs just because someone else is) Just because someone posts a ref doesn’t mean you have to, too!*

1. Please be respectful to your fellow members. This is one of the most important rules to follow. Hostility and generally douchey behaviour will be met with a ban. If you don’t like something or have nothing good to say, there is always a way to say what’s on your mind in a respectful manner or to just not say anything at all. No tolerance whatsoever to rulebreakers of this specific rule. Many of the residents that reside here currently and in the future do not need that kind of self-esteem crushing in a place they come to to wind down and enjoy their time. If an admin asks you to cease your current behavior or actions and you do not adhere, you will be removed.
	1a. If a staff member tells you to edit your name in any way whatsoever, you are required to comply. Staff will not be asking you to change their name just because they don’t like you. Most likely your name’s color is too dark/too bright OR you are using special letters and symbols that are not allowed.

2. Do NOT cause drama. We will shut this down immediately.

3. Attention fishing is NOT allowed which includes circle jerking. Do not come here to complain about your problems or to drag the mood down in hopes people will pity comfort you. You will be removed immediately.
3a. To clarify for those unaware of the term, circle jerking basically is when one centralized group attains god tier status and considers themselves above the rules.  Groups of friends or cliques are fine so long as others are welcome and all rules are followed.

4. Please no trolling attempts.

5. Do not whine if people do not want to play with you. You are not entitled to have someone mount you and wreck whatever holes or sex organs you have just by standing there.  This includes posting in chat, *i’m bored*  *Sighs* repeatedly.  It’s spammy and annoying.
6. Please do not use asterisks or hyphens for your RP. It looks clunky and it detracts from it whatever you are trying to do. Use the /me command like it was made for.
(Ex. /me waves “Hello!”  = [insert name here] waves “Hello” instead of [insert name here]: *waves* hello)

7. Put your ASFO (Age Sex Fursona Orientation) with your name beside it when you enter, please. ALTERNATIVELY, you can type /status or click your name on the visitor list to set your ASFO into your status.

8. Leaving the room on a bad note (such as leaving with, “No one’s noticing me so I’m out of here”) will result in punishment up to the Admin’s discretion.

9. All fetishes are welcome. Even extreme ones such as cub yiff, HOWEVER, if your fetish is making someone in the chat uncomfortable they have the right to ask you to take your rp elsewhere for the time being.

10. Don't shove yourself into an RP unless invited to or have asked and had confirmed that you can beforehand. No tolerance to those who do not follow this rule.

11.  When selecting a color for your name, custom colors with a (R) beside them are off limits unless you ask permission from the owner of the color.  These colors are submitted by these users and for these users ONLY.
11a)  If you want a custom color message a staff member with the hex code and we will implement it. New visitors will not be able to get a color. There is a limit to how many custom colors a room can have in proportion to the current population of the room.
11b)  Colors owned by users who do not log in for long periods of time, 20 days or more, will be removed from the list to reduce clutter, unless the visitor tells the staff they will be gone for a more than 20 days.

12. Paragraph RP is determined appropriate on a case by case basis. If you are posting paragraph RP, do not be offended if a staff member pulls you away for a moment if they deem it unnecessary for the current situation.
(Paragraph RP often discourages others who want to enjoy their times in these sort of rooms because they feel as if they cannot compete or go above and beyond with their RP length in comparison as well as there being a recent circle jerk that post length is a notation of the person’s worth. That is why there is a crackdown on ParaRP in this room. Don’t like it? Type /leave. You can accomplish the same things you want to accomplish with a three or five liner post compared to a ten line paragraph of purple prose and overfluffed descriptions.)

13. If someone you know is banned and contact you to use you as a messenger to appeal for their ban or even to be the middle man for them, you will be punished.
13b. If someone is banned do not bring it up in the main chat nor dispute the decision with staff. Questions such as “Wait, [Name], is banned? Why?” and the like only serve to stir up drama. Do not pester staff about actions taken nor try to fan flames in the chat. To add onto this, do not try to discuss or argue about bans in any way whatsoever. Doing so will lead to punishment up to staff discretion. You have been warned.
13c. Do not try to pull semantics about whether or not you are arguing about a ban.

14. Do not advertise other rooms here. Doing so will result in a permaban.

15. If someone directs you to a rule or reminds you that you are about to step over the line in regards to a rule, do not take it as a personal attack. They are just being helpful.

16. Do not change the continuity and the layout of the Cove to suit your needs or to gain higher chances of getting laid. For those of you who think you can come in and declare yourselves Bartenders without coming to an admin for approval, or randomly adding in tubs just to please someone and get in their pants without approval.

17. Do not use offensive terms such as racial slurs, sexist, or other slurs. Some people just don’t appreciate them even if they are said in a “friendly” way.

18. We understand that there may be many people who are not content with the rules and the amount of rules. However, they are this way for a reason. Constant whining and/or complaints about how it is “unfair” or comments about how other rooms are this way and that can lead to punishment up to the discretion of staff.

19. Do not gloat about your endeavors or sexual conquests. It is obnoxious. Conversation about sex is alright, but if it gets to be obnoxious or annoying any user has the authority to ask you to stop.

20. This is not a room where you can join and say “I’ll be in PMs” or any variant and expect people to crawl to you or visa versa. To add onto that, this isn’t a room where you can sit in it and lurk for hours on end until you see something or someone you want to bone, bone them, and then return to lurking. Furthermore, this is not a room where you can waltz in and make open-end offers such as “Anyone want to join me in [activity]” or “Anyone want to rp?” This is the only warning you will get.
	20a. Avoid having all of your interactions in this room pertain to getting laid. There will be no warning before action is taken if you have a track record.
	20b. Keep in mind that this room is not your personal harem nor hugbox. If efforts to bring newcomers in this room divulge into “recruiting to add onto X or Y’s clique/harem” then action may be taken. This is to prevent growing popularity for any visitor so that they do not become exempt from rules.

21. Discussions are discussions. Arguments are arguments. Learn the difference between these two and do not throw a fit or complain when a discussion is happening and associate it with an argument. If a discussion is making your little safety bubble pop and you can’t handle it, then you are free to use the /ignore “name” command.
	21a. If there is a heated discussion or the chat is “too much” for you, do not make a whole scene about it or exclaim how you’re going to leave until the chat cools down or keep asking “Is the chat cooled down” etc.

22. While some people may have issues doing things publicly, this room is not another room where one can enter and pm people and contribute barely anything. This applies to people that also enters the room and with every initiation or attempt of roleplay, they are quick to drag their partner to private (ie skype, kik, other chatzy rooms). Due to past inconveniences from people stealthily bypassing the disabled pms and still managing to drag others to their own room, there will be a limitation on how much one can consistently bring people “elsewhere”. If a staff member points out that an individual needs to break out of their shell and try to live a little in public, that constitutes as a warning of “Do not ‘pm’ or actions will be taken” for the time being. Privacy is acceptable and an understandable thing to have however nothing is ever good in excess. This is not a room where one can simply become a regular and start grabbing everyone’s information and never come back.
This also includes FurAffinity/Flist links that have contact info attached. If you post an FA or Flist link and there is contact info, you will be banned for rule 22.
22a. This rule is not to discourage friend making! If you make friends here and would like to be more personal than a public chat would allow then by all means share your kik or skype or whatever contact information with each other HOWEVER YOU AND THE OTHER PERSON MUST BE REGULARS FIRST. Also, constantly fishing for people to go into private, for example, “Any girls wanna trade nudes kik me,” that will be punished.
	22b. It is ultimately up to a staff member whether or not it is okay anyone is able to give out their kik. Do not pretend to be someone with authoritative standing. That will lead to a 3 hour silence. It is also up to staff to take away someone’s privilege to share contact information.
	22c. Do not try to use another chatzy room as a way to “keep in touch” with others. That will fall under advertisement here.
	22d. No Trojan Horses. What this means is, do not use your collection of contacts as a way to secretively advertise your room. For a better understanding of what being a Trojan Horse means, refer to: History of the Trojan Horse

23. If you want to use other characters in the room, please make it known to staff and/or the chat. This is not a room that welcomes the types who pretend to be many different people for their own benefit. Also, this helps prevent accidental bans because sometimes staff might not know if a visitor is an actual troll or just another character if they aren’t told beforehand.
	23a. Attempts at trying to “snoop” or “spy” on various visitors while pretending to be another person will be punished up to the discretion of staff. This is not one of those premium rooms where one can hold their “team” of informants to control the chat from behind curtains.
	23b. Attempts at trying to hide your previous personas will get you nowhere. Do not try to pretend that you are someone new when you are simply rolling a new persona.

24. No baitposting. Baitposting is when someone tries to actively cause a ruckus, stir some shit, or bait people into reacting negatively to something they said (an extreme, easy to exemplify situation would be someone walking into a crowd of people and spouting racial slurs to specific individuals just for giggles).

25.  This rule is mostly for any temp mods that may be made in the future. Playing favorites and/or bending rules for a clique/specific person is grounds for permanent ban.

26. Actions that visitors take outside the chat can still be considered as offenses if they are reported to staff. An example would be if Visitor 36 decided to, after becoming a regular, invited many people outside of the chat to Skype/kik/Steam or some other medium and used it solely as their tool for yiffing, then they are violating Rules 20 AND 22! If caught, Visitor 36 will be banned immediately.
26a. Your infamy can be weighted against you here.
Actions taken outside of the room, if found, can be used as reasoning to block you or add you to the blacklist.
This mostly applies to visitors that use other rooms as well. Those new to chatzy most likely will not have to deal with this rule.

28. Please keep in mind that using roll too much can irritate visitors. The general rule of thumb is if you see four or more rolls on your screen, DO NOT ROLL FOR A BIT. Any staff member has the right to punish visitors that do not comply to this rule. Usually with a silence, however repeated offenses or a lot of backtalk can lead to more severe punishment.

29. Do not mention the full name of other rooms. This is a form of indirect publicity and advertising. Please cut a room name or make an abbreviation if you are talking about other rooms.

30. Attempts to try to “force” or push staff to make a decision with any kind of coercion will lead to punishment up to discretion of staff.

31. If a moderator asks you to change your name in any way (the keyword is ASK. For this specific rule, you have the right to hold your ground if you are not asked respectfully), you must change your name.
	31a. You may be asked to change your name if you have special characters or symbols that are not native to chatzy in your name. We understand people like to stand out and be unique but this helps deliver mod actions.

If you do not like any of these rules, no one is forcing you to stay. By deciding to stay, you are agreeing to follow said rules and acknowledge that if you were banned, you are the one at fault for disobeying guidelines laid out for you.
