Buddy, you look like you're about to cry; please tell me what's wrong.

[shocked+sad] Oh. You're going home for the holidays? [trying to be upbeat for the listener] That's okay! It'll only be for a couple of months; it's not *that* long! You don't need to cry!

Aw, you'll miss me that much? I'll miss you, too, honey. It won't quite be the same without you. Well, when are you leaving? We can make the most of the time we have left!

O-oh. Today... What time?

[in disbelief, pausing] This afternoon. ... That's. That's soon. ... Do you want to go out and do something or do you want to just stay here and cuddle until you have to leave?

[sad with a slight smile] Yea, I figured as much. Come on, lie down with me.

*sigh* I'm going to miss this. I'm going to miss you wrapping your arms around me, squeezing me. ... [smug] You headbutting me instead of *asking* for pets.

Shush, you should know by now that I'm *always* willing to give you all the scritchies you could ever want.

*scritching SFX*

I'll especially miss you purring. Feeling you vibrate against my chest; it's so relaxing.

*sigh* You remember when we met? I know it's only been a few months, but it feels like forever ago. I've enjoyed having you so much this semester. I don't know what it's going to be like without you. Promise me you'll text me how you're doing?

*laughs* That won't be an issue? Glad to hear.

You know, I feel so lucky every day to have met you. To meet you at such a loud party even though you're shy is just. amazing.

I know it was your friends, but you could've always said no and stayed home. But then I would've never met you. And I think my semester would've been much more lonely without you.
