  1. -=High power=-
  2.
  3. Improves base damage to match two power mods, and adds two sides to the damage die. But reduces magazine capacity by 35%.
  4.
  5. GOOD FOR: Marines who just want that extra damage. A high power battle rifle +PP can reliably and accurately rat-tat everything to death.
  6.
  7. BAD FOR: Scout. Extra damage randomization is not considered for his trait on pistols.
  8.
  9. NOTE: Some high-power weapons can add pushback to the player when used, particularly the minigun. Grappling boots will negate the effect.
  10.
  11. -=Demolition ammo=-
  12.
  13. Changes damage type to fire. Adds 20 splash damage to every bullet puff. Very small radius, can deal slight damage to targets besides those directly hit. Cannot damage shooter. Splash damage counts as separate hits, so rapid weapons can be expected to reliably pain-lock almost everything.
  14.
  15. GOOD FOR: Marines. Compared to high-power the maximum damage per shot is a bit less, but minimum damage is higher. Reliable, plus painlocking a monster and whatever's standing next to it is great.
  16.
  17. BAD FOR: Scouts. The extra 20 damage is beaten by using power mods or other assemblies for pistols. The extra splash damage is also effectively null against bosses. Nightmare archviles will laugh at you.
  18.
  19. -=Plasmatic Shrapnel=-
  20.
  21. Changes damage type to plasma. Adds 8 (16 for plasma shotgun) splash damage to every pellet. Very small radius, can deal slight damage to targets besides those directly hit. Cannot damage shooter. Splash damage counts as separate hits, so triggering pain chances is very high.
  22.
  23. GOOD FOR: General use for renegades that get their hands on a sniper mod.
  24.
  25. BAD FOR: Boss tier monsters.
  26.
  27. -=Storm Pistol=-
  28.
  29. Adds an extra bullet per shot. At the cost of a significant accuracy penalty. Retains bulk mod boosts to magazine size.
  30.
  31. GOOD FOR: Scouts love this when they just want things dead quick.
  32.
  33. BAD FOR: Accuracy, gotta get pretty close to maintain optimal damage. And expect to waste quite a lot of ammo if you try hitting somewhat distant enemies.
  34.
  35. -=Plasma Pistol=-
  36.
  37. Uses cells instead of bullets. Replaces shots with plasma projectiles that have a base damage twice that of the original pistol. Has unusual effects on pistols that are energy-based to begin with. Experiment!
  38.
  39. GOOD FOR: Armageddon difficulty. With the extreme abundance of cell ammo and lack of bullet-dropping former humans.
  40.
  41. BAD FOR: Everything hitscan would do better than projectiles. Plus not as effective when it comes to sheer damage compared to Storm.
  42.
  43. -=Assault Rifle=-
  44.
  45. Humongous improvement to accuracy, plus each shot has triple the base damage (Except plasma rifles. Which do double.). However, fire rate is severely reduced.
  46.
  47. GOOD FOR: Accuracy and maximizing bang-for-buck when it comes to ammo use.
  48.
  49. BAD FOR: Major lack of DPS in general.
  50.
  51. -=Burst Cannon=-
  52.
  53. Base damage doubled (Except plasma rifles, which have +50% damage.). Continuous fire replaced by a quick burst. Significantly reduced accuracy.
  54.
  55. GOOD FOR: Best bang-for-buck for marines.
  56.
  57. BAD FOR: Accuracy, not as much DPS compared to demo-ammo, high-power, or just slapping four P-mods on whatever.
  58.
  59. -=Nano Shrapnel=-
  60.
  61. For shotguns only. Reduces base damage by 2, but allows for unlimited shots without pumping/reloading in between each, massively boosting rate of fire.
  62.
  63. GOOD FOR: Renegades murdering everything.
  64.
  65. BAD FOR: Nothing, really. Getting the nano mod needed is really rare, though. Very low base damage, but a power mod can mitigate that somewhat.
  66.
  67. -=Nanomanufacture ammo=-
  68.
  69. Nano Shrapnel's non-shotgun brother. No penalty to base damage, but no improvement to general fire rate (In -most- cases). Infinite ammo with no reloading/downtime.
  70.
  71. GOOD FOR: Two words. Rocket launcher.
  72.
  73. BAD FOR: Try not to blow yourself up. Also needs one of those super-rare nano mods. Trying to make your BFG into one of these will waste your mods, it's not available for them.
