What is NLR and how does it work on DayZRP?:



NLR is abbreviated for 'New life rule' this means that once your character in-game has been killed all memory has to be forgotten of what may have happened only seconds ago.

Your character is dead and this new one, although the same person has a new memory bank.

*This also means that you're not to run back to the place you died at and recollect your gear (Because your new character wouldn't of known where he once died.)

That is how NLR (New life rule) has been implemented into DayZRP.


When can you open fire at another player?:

This is where both players have acknowledged that both parties are dangerous.)may only open fire ONCE you've made contact with this stranger and he's either responded to you in an aggressive way or is not following your commands\instructions.

For example; Say someone or a clan have taken you hostage. (Told you to "drop your weapon and get in the car".) and you ignore their commands and run away. Only then can you open fire upon the player. (and similar situations to this where both parties have acknowledged that they're both dangerous.






About yourself, why do you want to join DayZRP?


I personally love having background stories to each character and learning what people have been through to get to their current state.

It's a big change from playing normal DayZ where many players KoS (Kill on Sight) and you don't ever have that chance to meet up with the person. (Who knows you could of been best of friends one day XD)

Whereas with DayZRP you have a greater chance to meet the players that want you dead or are looking for another member of their group\clan.

I think DayZRP would be a great adventure for me and would increase my skill in roleplaying, this is why I want to join DayZRP


Your characters background:




Pierce Bronson (aged; 29) was a father of two (One female (aged; 3}, one male (aged; 5) and a beautiful wife (aged; 27).

Three days before the virus broke out myself and the rest of the family were headed for Chernarus in an airplane. Roughly one hour before we reached our desired location the plane was successfully hijacked by some of the members aboard the plane. From what the hijackers told us throughout the rest of the flight is that they planed to crash the plane  and had no intention of handing us over for a large sum of money, but only to take many lives.

Some brave souls on-board the airplane managed to risk their lives to get the weapons off the hijackers guarding the cockpit and then with their weapons tried shooting through the cockpit door to make it weaker and weaker until we were able to kick through it. At this point the hijackers point the nose of the plane down towards the ground and were about to give us a landing we'd never walk away from. The men who overpowered the hijackers made the door weak enough to kick through and took out the hijackers controlling the place (killed them) with no-one on-board the plane having any piloting experience the only thing we could do was pull back the lever in the cockpit and hop we didn't die.

Time ran out, the plane had already crashed into a field nose first killing almost everyone on-board.

I awakened from the rubble and derby only to find my family slaughtered by the environment around them. After stumbling around for about 30 minutes no-one else alive was to be found. Who knows, they could of moved off, found a group nearby.

Little did I know that almost everyone in Chernarus was infected by this virus which made them very aggressive and eat people and animals alive. It seemed they only fed on meat.

I only know now that I have to survive. With only the gear in my backpack and a coast near me to navigate by.
