  1. My name is Henzoid, and I have been a mapmaker in the Minecraft community for probably 5 years, though I started becoming serious about it near the end of 2017. I am currently employed by Logdotzip, who consistently does everything in his power to make sure mapmakers and members of his staff feel that they are being treated fairly. However, this is not true of all youtubers.

  3. As a mapmaker, I have made tons of content for people to play, and I absolutely love it when youtubers (and occasionally, twitch streamers) use my content to create their own. However, something that I have seen more and more frequently is youtubers who will use a map, never even mention its name or who made it, and fail to leave any form of acknowledgment in the description or even comment section. Time and time again, countless mapmakers have their content essentially abused by people who won't even show their followers that another person was involved in creating what they're seeing in the video. And especially with those who have younger audiences, they would never know that the map or world wasn't made by the youtuber in question.

  5. I know this is probably not the most pressing issue for you guys, as the development team is focused more on the game and less on the community of minecraft, but I believe that this is something that should be in some way addressed, and I think youtubers and video creators should be held accountable for using content from creators without crediting them.

  7. This ties in with the scandal that took place involving Matthew Patrick of GameTheory and Pirate Software back in January of this year, where Matthew failed to credit Pirate for their game "Heartbound" by not linking it, and comparing it to Undertale purely for views. It wasn't until Toby Fox, creator of the wildly popular Undertale got involved that Matthew agreed to link the game's website and change the way his channel dealt with small creators. I believe this was a positive outcome and something that needs to be replicated in the Minecraft community.

  9. Thank you for listening, and I look forward to whatever change comes of this.
