<h1><span class="bites">Before</span><span class="dust">Anger</span></h1>

<span class="dropcap">J</span>afar was born in a small village near the city of Agrabah to a single mother Narisa. Narisa is a healer that once lived in the palace as a concubine and healer for the Sultan. In her dying days, when Jafar is only eight years, she tells him that his true father is the Sultan. She gives him a ring and tells him to go to the palace and present the ring to the Sultan. He had once promised Narisa the child would be taken care of should anything happen to her.
<br><br>
He stole something to gain entrance into the palace. Once inside and in front of the Sultan he presents the ring only to be denied as a son to the Sultan. Instead the Sultan tells him he will let him be a serving boy to his family. Mirza, the Sultan's other son, emerges as the Sultan's heir and brother to Jafar. Jafar is disappointed but hides it realizing he might have to gain his father's love and devotion.
<br><br>
One day while cleaning Mirza's room he is going over Mirza's things and realizes he will never have his father's love. Mirza is unmerciful to his half brother. Mirza proceeds to drown Jafar and his father enters the room. Instead of helping a young Jafar, the Sultan holds his head underwater to try and drown the young Jafar. Jafar is thrown in a trash pile outside of the palace.
<br><br>
Anger drove Jafar to life again. He left the palace vowing revenge on his father. He went to a sorceress Amara and Amara took him in and vowed to train him in magic as an apprentice. Jafar learns magic and enough of it. Later in life he and Amara are having a good night when she tells Jafar there is a way to change the laws of magic. Later Jafar poisons Amara and turns her into a staff in the shape of a snake. He returns to the palace and extracts revenge on his father and Mirza. He kills Mirza for running away from him, and puts his father in a cage til his father agrees to love him.

<h1><span class="bites">In</span><span class="dust">Wonderland</span></h1>

<span class="dropcap">Y</span>ears later we learn that Jafar has left Agrabah and pursued magic in another realm, the realm of Wonderland. He recruits the Red Queen Anastasia to help him pursue his game of trying to change the laws of magic. In order for him to change the laws he must have someone who is gifted in magic as well as he is. He thinks Anastasia is the person but later realizes she's still weak having been in love with the Knave.
<br><br>
Jafar gets the lamps together. He realizes he must release Amara to help him change the laws of magic so he can get what he wants. Ultimately that is revenge on the Sultan, his father, and the family who has brought to him so much pain. In Wonderland he releases the Jabberwocky to pursue Will Scarlet, Alice, and Cyrus. Alice is trying to reach the palace to get the lamp back from Jafar that contains Cyrus.
<br><br>
Jafar captures the Red Queen and Will Scarlet. He realizes Anastasia has betrayed him by telling him where the lamp that contains Cyrus is. Alice manages to release Cyrus and get away from the palace. In anger, Jafar kills Anastasia. Will, heartbroken is now the genie of the lamp having traded places with Cyrus. Having captured all the genies, and the lamps, Jafar releases Amara who also happens to be the mother to Cyrus and his brothers.
<br><br>
In the end, Jafar ends up following Cyrus and Alice to the Fountain of Wonders. There he is confronted by the guardian of the fountain. Alice outsmarts Jafar and he is turned into a genie where he is put inside one of the lamps releasing Cyrus' brothers.</div>

<span class="dropcap">O</span>nce Emma Swan enters Wonderland, it frees Jafar from the confinement of being a wooden staff his daughter Jasmine, turned him into. Jafar vows revenge but first seeing the magical powers of the previous savior Aladdin, he knows Emma's powers already. He recruits her promising her that if she refuses to help him change the laws of magic, he will kill her family. Emma refuses at first til she realizes he will do it if she doesn't agree to help him. She finally agrees to help him.
<br><br>
Jafar and Emma marry in Agrabah led by a previous Sultan that is seemingly being controlled by Jafar's magic. He and Emma share a magical wedding night, Emma realizing that even her husband has a soft spot for her. She doesn't underestimate him and never lets her guard down around him. He and Emma make her magic more strong and eventually they manage to become the Queen and King of Wonderland. They change the laws of magic and then Jasmine and Alice team up to put the sorcerer back in his genie bottle.
<br><br>
Emma eventually returns to Storybrooke, confused, alone, and pregnant with their daughter Amalia. Emma manages to locate Jafar's lamp and knows the only way to have power over him is to keep him prisoner of the lamp. She allows him to know she's pregnant. The two go to the hospital where Emma registers under her married name surprising Snow and Charming who know nothing about their daughter's marriage to Jafar. Jafar explains it to them and how it happened back in Wonderland. Amalia Leia Rashid is born as one of the most powerful children in all the realms. This makes Jafar rethink his ways.
<br><br>
Emma keeps her last wish having used the previous two to change her life to where she has no memories of Hook except a one night stand that gave her her daughter Hope. Emam wishes Jafar free and Jafar finally realizes that someone has managed to give him what he's always craved and that's love and a home. He has both in Emma.
<br><br>
Jafar falls into a job in Storybrooke as a shop keeper of rare antiquities especially after Rumpelstiltskin has passed away. He enjoys his job thoroughly making deals and collecting after those in Storybrooke and the other realms. He learns to accept his fate slowly. That does not stop the sorcerer from wanting revenge against those who have wronged him in the past.<br>
