  1. ABSTRACT
  2. This diploma thesis was created in order to program a previously prepared laboratory set provided by the employees of the Department of Automation, Propulsion and Energy Conversion at the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering of the Gdańsk University of Technology. The work was divided into a part describing the theory related to the project and a part related to the physical implementation of the task.
  3. The second chapter is about the history of previous generations of laboratory sets. It also describes the most important ZLA3 components, including those that were used in the project. Chapter three describes the microcontroller. The device diagrams are shown along with the theory related to its most important elements. The fourth chapter is devoted to applications used to program the microcontroller and those that were used to read the state of implemented variables. Chapters five and six are associated with additional devices used by students to implement the project according to previously set requirements.
  4. Chapter seven is entirely devoted to the exact description of the complete project. Using the basic information about the peripheries that were described earlier in the theoretical part, methods to accomplish the task on a physical device are presented. The microcontroller configuration process, stepper motor connection and display use are demonstrated in detail.
  5. The thesis includes two attachments. One of them is the documentation of the laboratory kit used in the project developed by students. The second one presents ZLA3 connection diagrams, which were developed by an employee of the Department.
