Chicago Alderpeople Supporting Torture Reparations

  1. People in Chicago have been working for two decades to force the city to provide reparations to victims of police torture.
  2.  
  3. If you are represented by one of the alderpeople not (yet) supporting the reparations ordinance, here's what you can do to help:
  4.  
  5.         1. Call your ward office & ask why your alderperson is not yet supporting the ordinance. Let them know 26 others
  6.            already are.
  7.  
  8.         2. Organize others in your ward to meet directly with your alderperson to let them know you want them to sign on
  9.            as a co-sponsor.
  10.  
  11.         3. If they still refuse to commit, organize creative actions in your ward to put pressure on them. Do it this month
  12.            & in January.
