- File is mysql-init located in my home dir.
- UPDATE mysql.user SET Password=PASSWORD('thepassiset') WHERE User='root';
- FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
- Then I ran sudo mysqld_safe --init-file=/home/akaku/mysql-init
- I had to sudo because it would not allow me to run it without being root
