7. Character Personality – Despite his grim past in Team Rocket, Roswell seems like the complete opposite of his roots. He's a very compassionate and warm-hearted man.
8. Character Background – Roswell's story doesn't start with him, but rather with his mother. Isobel Fastow, a powerful and veteran scientist who was once loyal to Team Rocket even before the work on Project Armageddon, has grown tired of her stagnation. Having done every dirty trick in the book in order to rise to power, she still isn't at the top of Team Rocket after four decades of work, both on Project Armageddon and in other gene manipulation projects.

The lack of progress in her life has driven her mad. Seeing her own creations surpass her in rank drove her crazy. The Armageddon Agent has grown to be her biggest mistake, so she attempted to remedy this. Fully believing that Pokemorphs are meant to be at the heel of humanity alongside Pokemon, she decided to make a prodigy of her own design. A human one, capable of causing the power vacuum she needs to take power.

Coming up at fifty-three years old, with nary a chance of actually giving natural birth, she decides to see fit that her baby is perfect. Using her own DNA and her knowledge of manipulating the human biome, she is able to create an artificial child. One that could possibly even take on a Pokemorph in a fight by himself.

Roswell was born on April 1st, 2029 into the Team Rocket base on Prism Isle. There, despite his mother's relatively high position in the organization, he got treated just like any Junior Agent. He displayed a profound lack of intelligence, struggling in school and most things that didn't involve physical labor, but things seem different when it comes to combat. He rarely has the skills, but his mother made sure that he received the proper training to throw his weight around personally. This ensured his usefulness as a low-ranking grunt and, along with an early growth spurt, got him to Grunt status a bit earlier than others born around the same time.

This lack of intelligence coupled with a helpful and good-hearted nature ensured that Roswell stayed loyal to the organization with minimum manipulation on Team Rocket's part. He developed a reputation as a "useful idiot", and was trusted with his scheming mother to help with her "errands" - jobs that include stealing things or delivering goods and intelligence.

However, one day, he was set up by his mother. Finally feeling like all the pieces are put into place, Roswell is sent under disguise to send some sensitive yet otherwise minor information to an alleyway in Prism City, only to end up finding another note, pointing the thirteen-year-old grunt to the offices of Team Plasma. Shocked by this display of unwitting betrayal, an Immunes decided to offer Roswell protection, education, and a place to stay in exchange for what he knows.
